My assumption is that it's just not here yet, but you could always ask your admissions counselor?

Hey guys, so I'm kind of confused over SAIC's merit scholarships? I got admitted to FVNMA and Performance but there wasn't any information regarding whether or not I got one? I think they might send an offer separately? I'm kind of worried because in their website it says: " If awarded, students will be notified by a separate letter in their admission packet." Is that the blue envelope they've been talking about or should it have been inside the first envelope with the admission letter?

Yeah I'm patiently waiting on my acceptance package but it's taking so long!? What department did you apply to? I got an email from faculty who told me admissions were supposed to email me with important next steps and that I should've received a package in the mail but so far I haven't gotten anything? Aghhtt!!!!

No, I'm in Chicago. So they seem to have watched my reel all the way through on thursday? When you're on analytics, on the advanced filters section, you should be able to check 'review.slideroom.com' under the source URL section. That's how you know for sure. Let me know if it works!

I don't think I can provide too much insight but last year I interviewed at Rutgers, SAIC, CalArts, NYU and Hunter. I was outright rejected by Yale and UCLA.

I had an inkling to wait another year, and considering the funding I was offered was less than I had hoped for I figured it would be better to postpone than shell out the dough and regret it.

In hindsight, this was the right decision for me. My work grew a lot and I feel I'm in a much better place to wring as much as I can out of grad program. I know it's a sample size of 1 but I'd really encourage considering delaying if you're on the fence after your offers come in. (of course if it's your dream program / the fundings there just go crush it). 

This year I've applied to:

CalArts
NYU
RISD
Rutgers
SAIC
UCLA
Yale

I'd say most of the interviews went as expected but I'm happy to share more specific experiences. As is typical I wound up spending a fair bit of time at each school pre and post interview so have a light impression of each.

The one thing I will say is that the printouts they ask you to bring for Hunter interviews are the images you discuss with your interviewers. That was a bummer, I brought some very unflattering cheap color copies. They clearly hadn't looked at/ were unfamiliar with the work so working from them wasn't super ideal. I had assumed they were just to refresh peoples memory while they deliberated. 

Anyway, fingers crossed!

I'm just assuming! My account is pretty new and every 3 days or so after the deadline there's a couple views averaging 50% ... I can't really see who it was or what video specifically but I think it would be safe so say it's them! I'm just confused over the fact that they seem to not be watching the whole thing lmao

Anyone here applying for SAIC's FVNMA (Film Video New Media and Animation)? I keep checking my vimeo's analytics every day to see if they've been watching my stuff and apparently they haven't watched the videos all the way through? Does anyone know if what's embedded into the eportfolio section of SlideRoom shows up in the stats? I'm so curious.
