Thanks @TheBarnOwl! Weirdly enough thats the opposite feedback I've gotten so far, but it all seemed too rose color glasses for me to believe. Is it unheard of to accept a spot in a program and then if you get off a waitlist to a program you prefer to switch programs and then you would lose the deposit at the other program? I think I still prefer the program I am accepted at, I'm just still feeling shaky about that decision considering when I started out I didn't rank this program too highly and now after visiting and reading more I am more happy with it. Oh "the journey"... Anyway thanks again for any advice all

I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into timelines/experience of getting off a waitlist. I'm holding out kinda for one last waitlist to see if I get an offer but I also don't want to wait until April 15th since I do have an offer from another program... any thoughts?

I'm on the waitlist at Tyler and I've been trying to email the department chair to get in touch about questions/updates but I haven't heard from him or the Admissions Counselor since Feb 4th. Is anyone else in the boat or just me?

For those waiting I heard back from SAIC with a rejection (and a suggestion to interview for the Post-Bac, anyone with experience with that?) on Thursday (feb 13) Has anyone heard from VCU Painting or Hunter or Pratt?

Hi yes sorry this is the list! Some of the interview questions I got asked were hybrids of these questions but I just felt overall better put together after preparing answers to some of these.

I skyped in but will fly there later to say hi in person. It went well I think! There was around 6 of the faculty (I think) and the list of interview questions to prep for from last year was very helpful to me.

Also joining this thread really late: I applied to a bunch of programs (really trying to get going this coming year): U Chicago (Invited for Interview), SAIC, Uof Illinois Urbana-Champaign, STAMPS, VCU, Carnegie Mellon, Pratt, Hunter, UPenn, and Temple (Invited for Interview). Does anyone know when most invitations for interviews go out? I'm just kind of nervously checking my inbox every day ?
