  1. Claiming an UNC acceptance. Haven't posted on the result page yet but will update later. IR Subfield. Email from the department
  2. Claiming a waitlist from UC Davis. IR subfield. Email from program coordinator that cc-ed the DGS.
  3. Hey man, do you still have the application checklist showing in your UCSD portal?
  4. Also, currently Berkeley is teaching remotely and would resume in-person activities next week. My guess is that they would convene a physical meeting before sending out any result. So the expected timeline should be about next week. (However, this is entirely my own speculation and I could be wrong. I am confident about the fake posts from past cycles though).
  5. For the past three cycles I've been on this forum, every year around this time there would be fake posts about Berkeley acceptance. Judging by the fact that nobody in this forum claims these acceptances so far, I would be inclined to say that this is just part of this weird tradition...Although typically, when these posts take place, it means that real admission decisions are coming in...
  6. Did Duke require GRE for their last cycle? If so, I would agree that maybe GRE being optional played a role in the increased number of applicants...
  7. Hey man, would you mind telling us your subfield? Thanks!
  8. Any one here in the forum could claim the interview by Duke?
  9. Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I would say getting your GRE score high up is the biggest factor, aside from your recommendation letter, to a Master application in my case. There must be legitimate reason for your transition to poli-sci, reflected in either your SOP or your recommendation letters as well.
  10. Hey man, I share a similar background with you. I did my undergrad in a US business school and am now in a Master in IR program. I would say you should aim for a master program first to show your seriousness to your field. Also, since you did your undergrad in Australia, you are at a disadvantage comparing with those applying from the states. Getting a US master could compensate for that.
  11. Modifying my statement. I just talked to NYU's DGS in person and was notified my status on the waitlist. You will receive an email this week if you're waitlisted by NYU. According to DGS they exhausted their waitlist last year but could not make an offer until Apr. 14th.
  12. You could be right. I don't know anything about last year tbh. My source was a professor at NYU Politics.
  13. I emailed NYU last week and they said they are sending out offers in batches this year. So there's still hope.
  14. When people say "M", do they mean Michigan or MIT? Thx
