  1. Hi! Did anyone else just now get a fellowship from UM SEAS? I just got an email notification saying I got one, even though they had told me I didn't receive any aid at the time of acceptance. I guess they might be preparing for a smaller cohort considering the current circumstances and are realizing there's extra money to give. This makes my decision a bit harder, but I'm happy regardless!
  2. Hmm, guess I didn't get any scholarships (OOOOOF), but excited nonetheless! Thanks and congrats again!
  3. Congrats on the scholarship! Was that info given to you in your acceptance email?
  4. Maybe! SEAS has such a good program and great class offerings for what I'm interested in (geospatial stuff) but it all comes down to aid for me. Sending good vibes your way and hopefully you hear back with good news very very soon!
  5. Thanks!! No I applied by the regular aid deadline, Jan 15. When did you apply?
  6. Just got an email from SEAS and it’s good news!! No info on aid yet but wondering if that’ll come later?
  7. Yeah, it seems odd that they're taking so long with sending out decisions. It makes me think that the delay is just a higher volume in applicants this year for some reason. And agreed with the tuition! I really can't afford to go to Michigan if I don't get any financial support. I chatted with an admissions coach on the phone and she told me that in addition to being considered for scholarships, you can apply to be a graduate student assistant (GSA) where they waive your tuition, give you a stipend, and give you health insurance for that semester only. She said that getting those are a bit more competitive (only about ~50% of applicants get it) and students usually apply after their first semester after gaining experience. So if you're lucky enough to land a GSA position AND get some sort of scholarship, it's definitely it worth to go! But until then, I guess all we can do is wait for these darn decisions to be sent out....
  8. I applied for the Environmental Informatics track! I applied for the dual degree in SEAS and Urban Planning, but would be more than happy with an acceptance from just SEAS. Also patiently waiting for their mid-Feb decision date...
