I just started looking into this yesterday. I would like to do the thesis route to keep the PhD avenue open (although, being honest that route seems like a longshot) ... I'm just trying to determine whether I'll be able to manage doing a thesis while also working full-time in government (I don't want to scale back to part-time work, part-time school).

How long should my application be in "Preliminary review required" stage? My references uploaded their letters on 31 January, so I know I'm probably towards the bottom of the list. Just hoping to get a rough idea of when I can expect my status to move for NPSIA.
