I have friends who got waitlisted into Uoft and got accepted in July and another friend got accepted in August. I heard great things about  the Humber program ! Congratulations!! I hope you get moved out of the wait list I’ll be praying for you !

I hope this virus finds a end soon and everyone can go to the program that have accepted for. I was thinking about waiting a year as well, however I find tuition goes up every year and if this is something you wanted for a long time maybe we all should give it a try ! Hopefully by September everything will be back to normal

Just checked my MyFile for York (2-year) and the status has changed to admitted!!! So people who are waiting on York, you can probably start checking your MyFile!

Carleton is very social justice and structural social work based. If you are interested in public policy, structural change versus front line work, Carleton is the place to be. 

Whether you get in or not, you are awesome and you got into Windsor which I heard is also a great school !Congratulations and I hope you get into the other schools !!!

I got invited to the MSW 2 year program at UofT! I already paid my admission deposit.
I've been waiting for this for 3 years! I was wait-listed 2 years ago and since then I have acquired my SSW diploma, 1 year experience as an addictions counsellor and 2 years experience as a crisis responder for Kids Help Phone. I outlined this new experience in my application. 
I originally was pessimistic about the process since my CGPA for my BA is 2.8. My last year GPA (all senior courses) is 3.4. Therefore, to those who are worried about your marks and eligibility...yes it can affect your chance of getting in but not if you have some research , volunteer and work experience. I also included some personal information about myself in my written statement. I mentioned how I have lived experience with depression and anxiety which is how I can relate to my clients.
Hopefully this can give some type of ease to those that did not receive perfect grades.

Carleton’s MSW program can focus on clinical and/or structural Social Work. Placement options are awesome. Everything from CAS, CHEO, and hospices to Mental Health agencies and non-profits. MSW placements get prioritized over BSW and happen from April to June so there’s less competition from other schools.
