  1. Hi! Yeah I did, then deferred to this year (didn't interview this year). And yup, Jee was mine, but I've heard good things about Zach too. Good luck and add an update if you hear back!!
  2. Hi! Pace usually lets applicants know pretty quickly, in my experience. I applied last year and was offered a spot within 2 weeks, then also this year. Actually just about to turn it down in favor of London. Truly pains me, because the Pace community is absolutely incredible - so kind, inviting, supportive. I deferred my acceptance this past year, but they still let me attend their Actors Studios and get close with their cohort. If you don't hear back soon, maybe send a follow-up to Jee and/or your interviewer (Edward Baker, if I remember correctly?). Hopefully, I'm about to free up a space at Pace, as well as across the other schools/waitlists, for some of you here!! Best wishes as always, team! (Oh, my main reason for not attending Pace is it's 3 years. They offered money but that's still a long time to afford life in NYC, etc)
  3. Ah, how invigorating to see so many positive updates and decisions! I clearly don't check this page often but feel really proud of and psyched for you all. Regarding NPX, I echo the yeses - totally join! I started mine early this February, and two weeks later had an inquiry from Iowa State University!! They asked to buy rights but I offered the piece for free, always down for supporting education, of course. Here's mine: https://newplayexchange.org/users/38801/ellis-stump As for me, I applied to six programs this round, my second year applying. Got 3 acceptances, 2 waitlists, and 1 rejection. While NYU and Columbia are my top choices and naturally the ones waitlisted, every day I inch closer to committing to University of London actually. Full funding and a new country... After quarantine, I think I'll crave a breakout from NYC, lol. Wishing the best for everyone right now! Health, optimism, creativity, and peace!
  4. Hi folks! Also got the full waitlist batch. Wondering whether these schools essentially waitlist everyone (or at least everyone they interviewed) out of courtesy? Anyone know?
  5. Me too. I tried using them to create a student account, expecting nothing, but got in, lol. So whether I'm officially accepted or rejected (or maybe waitlisted? kinda the vibe I'm getting but perhaps just optimistic), I've accessed the portal. Idk if this means anything. @PlayWitch Also a little surprised by silence from Columbia, after a positively affirming interview and even follow-up email from Morgan. So I'm anticipating/hoping for waitlist. (Does anyone have experience with their waitlist systems??) And this is where it gets tough... Commit to one of my other (more financially supportive) options, or hold out for these top choices, where scholarship money is likely non-existent? Blah. On top of the worldwide uncertainty, this indecision is exhausting! Stay healthy, all (physically AND mentally). Heads up and hands clean!
  6. I'm the exact same way! I'm also currently on a writing residency in rural Canada, so my interview was over Skype (blurry/pixelated) and at an odd hour (thanks to daylight savings on top of time zones), lol.
  7. @Dongato Thank you, everyone!!
  8. Ah, thank you so much!! That's what I thought, but really didn't want to go out on a limb and be wrong, lol. Thank you!!!
  9. Hi, everyone! I'm a classic case of, after long-term stalking, finally choosing to join this conversation and community. Anyone who interviewed with Columbia yesterday: was a woman present along with Hwang, and if so, do any of you know her name? I'm super embarrassed I can't remember or figure it out, especially considering her - both of their! - kindness and praise. I agree wholeheartedly about the surprising comfort and friendliness of these interviews. ( @shortymcshortz @grlldchz @corinth of lad perhaps?) Aside from that: It's so lovely to meet you all! This seems like a truly authentic, supportive space, and your stories have inspired me along the way. Happy to be here and answer any Qs about my own process and experience (from solely rejections last round, through a year of effort, initiative, and growth, to complete turnaround and really positive affirmation). Hang in there, folks, and always always stay true to you!!
