  1. She will, she's like brilliantly talented and stuff That sounds amazing and I'm sure you would have rocked it. Here's to you having another great opportunity as well! (Apologies to Matt Damon for not being able to see someone play him.)
  2. That was me! Hahaha. But I appreciate the lookin' out!
  3. Bucky, sorry about your show cancellation. That's terribly sad. Hoping you receive some amazing news to lift up that down. A few friends of mine will also be graduating without performing in their final show - one of them was the lead role in a show that was practically built for her and she would have killed it. She's broken about it. Anyway. Be well! Wash your hands!
  4. Waiting on a positive response from Indiana University - Acting MFA. Hopefully we all hear something soon. Best of luck to everyone!! To all the people shooting for Brown, sounds intense!! Best of luck and patience during this time!
  5. cropop, you are my guiding light. Thank you, my friend! I will consider an email next week's end if I haven't heard anything. Clearly you can see I'm both excited and nervous about this whole thing. I've realized that combination causes an interesting type of anxiety. Thank you, again!
  6. Let's say you haven't emailed/spoken with admissions or your direct contact at the school of your choice in a little over two weeks. Does that warrant a "touch base" or similar email? Or do you just wait and let patience be master? And if emailing is a good idea, how do you approach that email? Let's say you are super interested in their program and because of the two weeks of your silence you fear they may think you've become uninterested. Is this a thing? I want to email but don't want to be a overkill, especially with ... well, you know ... health concerns. I've been searching for answers to these questions.
  7. Thank you, cropop! That puts my mind at ease. My silly brain keeps overthinking and reminding me of other candidate's emails in which the school said "you would be a perfect fit for our program" or similar - which lead you on but aren't necessarily any type of answer.
  8. I've been on the edge of my seat since receiving a very positive email from an MFA program after a second interview. About 4 weeks ago I had a wonderful 2nd interview with one of the program heads at my university of interest. Later that day I received an email with the subject "[State] University MFA Offer," with the following: "Thank you for the conversation today. After our chat, I would like to invite you to join us at [State] University. If you are equally interested, then I can send you the information to proceed with the application process." I replied with excitement and said I was very interested in proceeding. I received a reply with a link to the application and the following: "We would like to invite you to join us for the Fall of 2020 in the MFA Program at [State] University. For you to move to the next level, we have to get you officially accepted to the University Graduate School." I completed the application, received stellar letters of rec from former profs, have the required academic history, etc. In spite of all this I'VE BEEN RACKING MY BRAIN since submitting my application a little over one week ago. ANY advice would be great. Does this sound like a positive case of being accepted? I want to believe that their word is their word, but I know I have to receive a written letter in the mail to make it official. Thank you!
