  1. My school has decided that the majority of classes will be online, with some labs or tutorials being in-person for the Fall. They have not said anything definitively for the Winter semester yet, but are currently approaching it the same way. As soon as it is safe to do more in-person, then they will change their plans for Winter. I am planning to do it, because there aren't any other better options for me personally, in light of everything. I don't want to put myself further behind, without having a concrete plan in place. At least for my school, deferments are typically not allowed and can only be granted in particular circumstances by getting permission from the Dean, and in some cases your spot may not be guaranteed.
  2. I'm sorry to hear that! That seems quite odd. I understand it's rolling admissions this year, but to wait until the end of June to tell you whether or not you get an interview seems so late, especially because I'm assuming the interview would then take place in July...It's not fair to you to have to wait so long, and have your life seemingly put on hold until then. Although that's how I personally feel about it, you may think differently!
  3. That's what I was thinking! Even though they did two rounds of interviews, maybe they kept it as one big pool of applicants? So, people who were interviewed first may have had a better chance due to timing, especially if they accepted a bunch after the first round. Thank you!! Yeah I'm weighing my options on what to do going forward. That sucks they haven't informed you of anything, one of my other applications is like that; after waiting awhile and reaching out, they confirmed they have already accepted people but even now I'm still not officially rejected.
  4. I got an email this morning informing me I was not admitted. I am super surprised because the interview went well and I exceeded their admission requirements...but it seems to fit with the way the rest of my admissions have gone this year.
  5. I think we spoke on Reddit, if not then I'll share again just in case. But I was a part of their second round of interviews last week, and they are working through those now. I haven't heard back yet, but it's only been a few days so it's a bit premature for me to get anxious.
  6. Hi everyone. This is my first time applying to graduate programs. I applied to M.Ed in Counselling and Psychotherapy at UofT (OISE) and was rejected at the beginning of March, have been waitlisted at Uottawa for M.Ed in Counselling Psychology, still waiting to hear from UOIT for MSc Forensic Psychology and MSc Psychotherapy from McMaster. I found out about the McMaster program in mid-March and I applied the day I found it. My backup, which felt like the right choice at the time of applying, was for the Master of Information in Library and Information Science from UofT (iSchool) and I was accepted into that. Congrats to everyone who got acceptances!
