Hello, Hopefully I'm ok posting here as I am MC/MPA hopeful. Any thoughts on how deferrals may impact decisions this due to COVID. I was told that more people deferred back in 2020 for Fall of 2022 than fall of 2021. Just wondering if that is going to hurt folks chances applying.

Does anyone have any insight from folks that been admitted. Do they know of people that DID not accept their offer? Asking specifically for MC/MPA.

Hey folks. Just wondering if we were any updates from MC/MPA program. i know MPA/ID put out an announcement that they are not accepting anyone on the waitlist, but i havent heard anyting for other programs, specially MC/MPA. For you admitted folks, do you know if there were admits that declined their offer?

Anybody has any advice on keeping themselves busy and sane..while waiting for an update. Also what are u guys thinking of chances this year will be a repeat of last year: bunch of folks getting off the waitlist due to a huge number of declines and deferrals. Im thinking 65%...

You guys getting a feel for folks that are declining their offers to HKS? Hopefully that will open up some slots. I know there are some talk of getting accepted but no funding, so entertaining other options- i wonder how feasible that is.

Congrats on the admit, and good luck on your next endeavor. Thanks for keeping in mind those that are on the waitlist. Speaking of which, are there admitted MC/MPA folks thinking of declining their offer? Just want to get a read. FYI i'm a waitlisted MC/MPA applicant.

There is another forum form last Waitlist 2020. Where folks were getting moved from the waitlist and accepted on the first week of April. Hopefully that will be the case again this year. We shall see.

waitlist letter: The Admissions Committee has completed its selection of candidates for admission to the Mid-Career MPA Program at Harvard Kennedy School. The high caliber of this year’s applicants made the Committee’s task an extremely difficult one. Admission to HKS is always very competitive, and many fine candidates are not admitted during the first round of admissions. In the review process, we identified a number of applicants whom we would like to invite to remain on our waiting list. We are pleased to inform you that you are among the candidates on that list. We are unable to offer you admission at this time, but a place may become available for you later this spring or in early summer. We will have a better idea of your prospects for admission in mid-to-late May after admitted candidates have responded to our offer. We will notify you of any action on your application as soon as it is taken.While we hope you can wait, we do not recommend that you turn down offers to other graduate programs or employment opportunities that are attractive to you. is there a source that tells you the average rate of admitted students that enrolled in HKS (particulary in MC MPA) I'm just trying to analyze my chances, as im on the waitlist for MC MPA.

are we also accounting for coming off the heels of an outlier year with covid, which may still impact this year. Look, i'm still hopefully, and i'll cross that bridge when i get there.

Yea, no one knows. I'm staying optimistic and think we still have a good chance. Alot of folks applied this year, and for the admitted who knows..they may realize they have better financial options elsewhere, or its not worth leaving their job for school. Im still hopeful.

Told you it would happen today folks. I've been waitlisted in the MC/MPA program. Hopefully i'll be joining you folks this fall! Did anyone else get waitlisted.
