  1. Because of a hold on my account, I'm on a wait list for a class that I really (I mean really) wanted to take next semester. The class was originally capped at 13 students but was bumped up to 15... and I'm number 16. Do you think I should contact the professor and see if he'll let me register, or just wait it out and hope someone drops?
  2. I accepted their offer. Their funding for MA students, considering the relatively low cost of living in Auburn, the preparation they provide for teaching classes, and the TA workload itself, is generous--especially because it's difficult to find programs with strong departments that fund their MAs.
  3. If we go by how many folks posted their results on gradcafe this year compared to last year, then we still have cause for hope. My guess, however, is that funding offers are a done deal. I don't know about you, but I feel an acceptance without funding is more tortuous than a rejection.
  4. You think they'd send letters to everyone who was rejected? That seems like a lot of paper and postage, especially if they could easily notify us through GAMES instead.
  5. I don't know what to make of that, but the pessimist in me is bummed.
  6. So do you think those of us who haven't heard yet still have a chance for funding, or not?
  7. Congrats! Any word on funding? So, did everyone hear back or are some still unreviewed?
  8. Good luck everyone! I'm nervous -- UNL is my top choice, and I'm really hoping for funding.
  9. I don't mean to be incendiary, but if you've been admitted into a program, regardless of it's your first choice or your twelfth choice, you deserve to take all the time you need to make your decision. This is a big step, and you want to be as certain as possible about the school you choose.
  10. I received the same email today. TC3, is your spec British Romanticism? Mine is too. Loyola isn't the best fit for me, however, so we'll see. Best of luck!
