  1. Did you get an email with an offer letter or an email saying your portal was updated? Or did you just find out by checking your portal?
  2. Thank you so much! Congrats to you! May I ask your stats! To gage who they accept. Your GPA, experience level etc.
  3. Did you hear anything back yet? The wait is killing me. First they told me we will get results mid or end of February. Then I emailed and they said the admissions committee met the end of February. The admissions coordinator went on vacation till March 9 and they said she will send out offers once she gets back. Then Carmela Sciandra emailed me back and said last Wednesday that she will send out offers by next week. Still nothing. Also may I ask your stats, experience, goa etc. Rooting for the both of us!
  4. Did not a single soul apply to the McGill advanced standing MSW program? I am desperate to find someone who also applied.
  5. This year they had over 330 applicants in the U of T MSW advanced standing program. They accepted a total of 125 students. Yes the mental health and health stream is the most competitive.
  6. Thanks for letting me know! I got into the Health and Mental Health stream. I probably should have specified that in my post. I am glad you got solid funding through McMaster. I wish you all the best!
  7. I just got an update saying I was waitlisted at U of Toronto for the advanced standing MSW! I only applied for the Health and Mental Health stream. Does not feel as good as being accepted, but there is hope! Good luck to everyone else! If anyone who got an offer to U of T thinks they might not be attending U of T, can you let us know or if you know you will be declining your offer.
  8. Thanks for the response! I will keep checking. May I ask your experience and GPA. Just trying to gage what applicants they accepted so far.
  9. How did you find out on Acorn? I cannot see it. Is it just in academics? Mine says I am not enrolled in anything. Ddi you also get a notification up top?
  10. Can I ask how you find the admissions decision in ACORN? I do not see it. This is what I see in the photo below
  11. May I ask what is the first letter of your last name? Trying to figure out if they are going in alphabetical order.

  14. Thanks for letting us know! So the we do not need our JoinID?
  15. Congrats! This is amazing news! Does this update also show up in your application portal? I am trying to activate my JoinID from the previous year, but it is not working.
  16. Did anyone here apply to McGill? If yes, did anyone get any news yet? They are supposed to send out admission results before the end of February.
  17. Congratulatoions! I am so happy for you! May I ask your stats? GPA, experience..
  18. Wait, I thought you only get access to JoinID if you get in and then ACORN,
  19. May I ask your stats? I also worry I will be rejected or waitlisted to U of T.
  20. I know this is late. Is anyone applying to McGill's MSW program? If yes is the deadline the 15th of December like on the website or is it the first like on the application portal. I had a lot going on and was sick. I was hoping I had until the 15th, but I saw the conflicting dates. I did not get a response from the graduate secretary.
  21. I am sorry you got waitlisting last year. Hoping you get in to a program this year! May I ask what your GPA was when you applied last year? Also, did you have any volunteer experience or job experience that is in social services but not social work related or just nothing at all? I am asking as I am applying to UofT advanced standing and nervous.
  22. I was going to apply to York, but my two year average is 80.5ish. For experience I still have total it up. Like I mentioned above it is mainly from tutoring and working as a staffer for non-profit organization at York University. One position involved organizing music therapy concerts in hospitals and the other was to organize free language classes for students. I also was research assistant for a social work professor for a year, and have maybe 100 volunteer hours related to social work. Plus finally my practicum (about 300 hours by mid-november). Total it is probably about 2000 something hours, but not very social work related. Should I even bother applying? I know York says you need a mid-,B only and 2 years of social work related experience, but still. I feel like I have no chances anywhere really, but York is really competitive from what I heard.
