Has anyone tried reaching out to Columbia? I emailed admissions a few days ago with no response. I'm thinking it's a no - I wish they'd just rip the band-aid already! -

My app for MODA still says "submitted" in the portal -losing hope. Has anyone heard anything? I saw in the results page that last year they didn't tell rejected applicants until May! So if i don't hear by the end of next week I think I'll accept my other offer. -
Hey! Does anyone have advice negotiating funding for an MA? Seems fairly routine for PhDs, but I'm not sure what the expectation is for MAs. Who would I even begin reaching out to? Dean of grad admissions or the department chair? Are you expected to use other offers as leverage or is that too forward? I'm not sure what the etiquette really is with these things! Any advice welcome. Thanks so much

Thank you for writing this! AU is becoming more and more of a top choice for me, so your words are encouraging. If you don't mind my asking, are you intending to use your degree to apply to PhDs or to try and enter the museum field after graduation? Curious if you think AU has been helpful in getting students museum internships or jobs, and what their alumni network in the museum industry is like. Thank you!

Hey! I am for sure no expert lol but seem to have a similar decision to make. From what I am gathering fully funded MAs are pretty uncommon, and given that the museum field is fairly low-ceiling in terms of pay I will probably be taking my offer at American! (Also received that offer.) For GWU - I also got in, but it specifically said in the letter "I regret we we cannot offer you a fellowship package for this year." So if your letter omitted that sentence there's a chance it's coming! Fingers crossed! I also don't think I got into Tufts (haven't heard back ? ), but I know they "waive" the second year of tuition for everyone. So if you got half off that, it'll be like three quarter's-off! So cool. Congrats!!

I'm with you! Total radio silence. Are you referring to the PhD or MA? It seems the Masters students generally don't hear until second week of March regardless of decision. Irritating they don't tell the PhD folks as soon as possible though. ?

Hey! I was just notified of funding at American! Specialization is in American photography. I've definitely appreciated their fast turn-arounds.

Hey everyone! Has anyone heard back from UMD? I interviewed in early January for a terminal MA, and it's been radio silence. I'm assuming based on previous seasons that it's a rejection. Also, any other Tufts applicants? :)Good luck, all!
