I don’t know if they are still extending interviews since their interview day is on Monday. So I emailed my POI last week and asked her if all invites had been extended since we had somewhat established a relationship before, she then forwarded my email to admissions who then reached out. It had already been a week since they had sent me the invite... I mean u would have never known had I not reached out to my POI. Something was wrong with my personal email which is why I wasn’t receiving emails so it wasn’t anything on their end.

Anyone here who is interviewing at Rutgers receive the details for the interview day and the event the night before? I have been having trouble receiving emails from Rutgers (almost missed the fact that I got an interview!) so I’m wondering if details have been sent out already?

Has anyone interviewed at Rutgers PsyD in the past and can speak to some of the questions etc? anything that stood out to you? Thank you so much!

One of the schools I applied to apparently send me two emails and a voicemail about interview invite and I never got it!! I mean checked all my folders everywhere. I by chance emailed my POI today asking if all invites had been extended because I was getting so upset, who then apparently fwd my email to admissions who then emailed me and asked if I had gotten any of the emails. They didn’t say whether I could still interview, just asked me to confirm I got the email. I know that the deadline to sign up for interviews was 2 days ago... I of course emailed as soon as I got her email but now it’s Friday evening and she will probably not reply until Monday. Anyone think they will still let me Interview? I am shaking as this is for a program I really really wanted to interview! The interview date is on the 15th

Anyone know if fordham counseling, rutgers and yeshiva are done sending out invites?

I’m not that person who posted but I called Columbia (Counseling PhD) last week and they told me that all invites have been extended and that no one will receive anymore interviews at this point. They never send an official email or rejection though. My POI was CH - sorry I know I’m not that poster but I hope that helps.

I’ve only heard from one, but none of the others. One other I just know that they are done extending invites but the rest claim they have started but aren’t done yet... ??‍♀️But nothing is official. I still have some tiny bit of hope but I’m also assuming rejection. I promised myself I would try to stay hopeful until mid February but it obviously feels less probably with every day that passes, especially the more invites I see other people getting. I’m sorry you are in a similar boat. Fingers crossed we will hear soon, regardless.

I hear you. I feel fortunate that I have a masters and can practice but it’s still a huge bummer bc I really want to do a PhD (for various reasons) and I’m somewhat worried that next year applications won’t be any less challenging. There’s still hope for us. Don’t give up yet.. although I certainly understand how you feel. I am sure we’ll be out out of our misery by end of next week or so and either way we will know more and can plan accordingly. I do feel that latest mid February all schools will have extended invites. Rooting for you!

Agree. This limbo is the worst. Rejection from Columbia for me but only because I called them last week and they told me invites have been extended but never got an official email. Still waiting to hear back from like 5 others... so upsetting, especially seeing that invites are going out already. I feel more hopeless by the day.. at this point I‘m ready to assume rejection from all of them.

I called them last week and they said that all interview invites have been extended at this time and no more invites will be extended. I never received an official email but the answer was pretty straight fwd so I marked my status as rejected.

Congratulations!! Very jealous it was my first choice haha, but very happy for you! If you find out by any chance if they have extended all invites can you please let us know

Oh no. I also never got a confirmation of my application and freaked out but it looks like they received everything. I would email them! Don’t call because no one will pick up.. I tried for 3 weeks until someone in admissions told me that no one will pick up and the best bet is to email. I heard your frustration it was one of the weirdest apps to submit since the website felt a bit disorganized and there was no proper confirmation etc.

I saw ... still have a tinyyyyy bit of hope that they might send out more over the next few days but it’s certainly getting smaller by the hour.

Waiting on Fordham, too. I saw 3 posts in the results page that they got an interview so getting a bit discouraged. I reached out to see if all interviews had been extended - will let you all know when I hear back. (Also, I did not apply to NYU but I work in a research lab at NYU and my PI said they are still reviewing applications)

UGH yes. I am also still waiting on Rutgers and Yeshiva...

There are some balanced PhD's (LIU Brooklyn is one I applied to, but there are more) that have a strong emphasis on clinical training. That being said if you really are not interested in research it probably makes sense to only apply to PsyD's. I hope we all hear from Rutgers soon!

Of course, totally understand! I’m so sorry. I feel you. It was my dream program and top choice and I was so excited to apply this year and was actually hoping it would be a good year (no idea what made me think that....)

I would ask your current PI how to get involved so that you can get published. I have worked in a research lab for the past 3 years and there were times when I wouldn't work on manuscripts and also didn't actively push for it (had kids etc.) but once I got more active again I specifically asked to be involved in manuscripts and projects that would ultimately get me some publications, whether it be with doctoral students or himself and other collaborations. My PI always appreciates the initiative so I haven't felt weird to ask for it.

Saw that someone got an invite from Fordham Counseling PhD program, anyone know if they are sending out invitations on a rolling basis?

Anyone else slowly losing it one day at a time and feeling this is a make or break week?
