  1. Oh alright I must’ve missed that thank you
  2. I sent my transcripts 3 weeks ago and they have yet to be processed. Anybody else?
  3. Thank you and congrats to you as well If you'd like to keep in touch DM me and I'll share contact info.
  4. Around noon today I actually received a GEM Full fellowship offer from USC. I applied to the MS Applied Data Science program.
  5. Has anyone received a GEM offer from USC?
  6. So first step is getting accepted into a graduate program. From there a fellowship committee within the university will look through the accepted applicants, and see which ones applied for the GEM fellowship. Then (I assume) they decide on the number of GEM applicants they're willing to sponsor. I think selection would primarily be based off a student's GEM application (essay and recommendations).
  7. On an email I received from gem about 2 weeks ago it specifically stated not to contact the universities regarding GEM. — The GEM Office will reach out to each University you listed on your application to confirm that you submitted a COMPLETE application by January 15, 2021 or the department deadline, whichever was earlier STARTING February 1st. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING for this action item, unless the GEM Office is unable to confirm with the GEM Rep at a University if you applied.
  8. If the employer is interested in you, your status will go from “matched” to “held.”Then the employer will reach out via phone or email for an interview. You know you’ve been selected for sponsorship when you get a message stating “Congratulations employer ‘X’ has responded to your application.” You then sign a contract and your status will change to “Accepted.” Personally I was matched for about 2 weeks before the company reached out. Because I had done an internship with them in the past, I didn’t have to interview and immediately received an offer.
  9. Hello! Yesterday I received a phone call from an employer and received an offer to be sponsored. From what I was told most offers are due around January so good luck to everyone!
  10. Under "basic information" do you have a company listed under "Employer Sponsor"? I got matched recently and there's a company on mine but not sure what that means. I haven't been contacted by them or anything.
