Hello everyone! ik I've seen some stuff going out for the following schools, but I was wondering if anyone has heard directly from the programs. one of my friends is applying this cycle too and I told her I'd check on these schools. has anyone heard from the neuro programs at OHSU, Scripps, and UCSD? interviews, rejects, or news from the schools?

UPenn NGG is still sending invites, not sure about the others! My app to UPenn still says that it's "successfully submitted" and under review still ? reject me already pls

I talked with BCM, they're not done. I heard from MD Anderson on 12/21, but it appears they're sending stuff periodically so idk.

I emailed UPenn NGG a week or so ago, and they are still sending invites until mid-January!

Has anyone heard definitively if UPenn NGG is done sending interview invites?

I applied to JHU Pathobiology too, I submitted the first week of November and haven't heard anything

I got an interview at Dartmouth MCB yesterday (December 15). I didn't apply to any of those others though, best of luck!

me too! I think they're just now starting to send them out. before today I haven't seen anyone talking about them. UMass has been my top choice, but I got an interview with Dartmouth MCB today so I'm trying to focus on that!

Yes, from Texas A&M Neuroscience (TAMIN). Did any of y'all apply there? I haven't seen anyone else who did.

I did DDMT and UMMS Neuro or Biochem! UMass is my top choice and I haven't seen many people saying they're applying there. it seems from previous years and what the admin committee told me we should expect interview invites shortly! if I hear any updates I'll PM you

I applied to UTSW as well! I'm hoping for the Neuroscience or Genetics, Development, and Disease tracks. I've been seeing people get offered secondary apps, do you know if those are for international students only? Others are Baylor College of Medicine (Development, Disease Models, and Therapeutics), UMass Medical (Umbrella program), UT Health MD Anderson (Neuroscience), Tufts (Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Bio), Johns Hopkins (Pathobiology), Texas A&M (Neuroscience, got unofficially accepted!), and Dartmouth (Molecular and Cell Bio)

I applied to UT Health MDA as well and I've heard they're notoriously late on interviews/admissions, but YMMV.

also what programs did you apply for, if you don't mind?

We've got this. I've been told by my PI that a passion for what you do can't be faked, and the admissions committees can see it. We've put in the work, submitted the apps, and all we can do is be patient and remember why we're here. (still gonna obsessively check this website and r/gradadmissions)

I applied too and I’m terrified. I feel like everyone on here is like “I only have ten years of research experience, 26 publications, and a 4.0 at Harvard, chance me but I’m not gonna get in :(“ and it’s really disheartening to see there’s not a bigger community of regular ol people this year.
