Just got an offer from the University of Washington -- my top choice. Just emailed other programs to reject offers/interviews, so hopefully that means good news for others. Best of luck to everyone for the rest of this application cycle, and thanks for being there! Grateful for this little community

I'm guessing that the program is Ed.S inclusive, so they will be getting the Ed.S and PhD!

It's so tough to be able go gauge exactly what they're looking for besides general "fit"! If you felt like you didn't get to say enough about why you'd be a good fit, you could always add a few sentences about it in your thank-you email. I did that for one program because I also didn't have a ton of 1-on-1 time with the Program Director.

I'm guessing they'll release them all at the same time too since they sent out interview rejections unlike most schools that just didn't notify people.

To people waiting to hear from U of Washington, do you think we'll hear sometime this week, or March 19th like the original email said?
-
3 weeks, that's rough! I got an acceptance yesterday that was only 6 days post-interview. Definitely a relief to have that first acceptance but the wait for my higher-choice programs is so so rough.

Officially past the 2-week mark for Washington interviews...anyone hear anything? I'm such an anxious mess!
-
Congrats! I had a super overwhelming looking schedule for my first interview with lots of zoom links, but then I had another interview with no schedule, just one link to the main room and that was WAY more terrifying. At least now you can plan out your day! Good luck!!

Accepted to William & Mary's EdS program! Still waiting on other schools to figure out if I'll accept this offer or not.
-
If you end up calling or emailing to inquire about when we'll get results please share what they say! I know some people on this thread have talked about doing that, can't remember who though lol
-
Same here - and the faster we hear back, the faster we can start looking for funding too which is another reason I'm anxious to hear back soon!
-
Me too! Did you apply to the PhD or EdS program?
-
I'm waiting on them too - their PhD program is my top choice so the wait is killing me. I was also told mid-February, but the original email I got when I submitted my application said their target date for final decisions is March 19th which seems way too late. Ugh!!
-
All of my interview invites have been from program directors or coordinators as mass emails, but I have heard of other programs having faculty send out individual invites!
-
UW as in University of Washington or Wisconsin? Still waiting on Washington's PhD program!
-
I submitted mine on 1/25. Best of luck!

Just got an interview invite for their EdS program

Just got an interview invite for James Madison's EdS program! Should be hearing back from my top choice this week though, so I may end up declining that offer.

In the same boat!

Anyone else waiting to hear from Washington's PhD program?
-
Does anyone know if UC Berkeley sent out interview invites/acceptances yet? I'm assuming they did based on the timeline but was hoping for a definite answer so I can have a more accurate list of my possibilities for where I end up.

Anyone else interviewing with Fordham's PhD program next week?
-
Anyone else interviewing at U of Washington next week??
-
Fordham's deadline is 1/15. That and UNC are the only ones I applied to with deadlines after New Years.

Thank you for sharing! This is super helpful. I have a nose piercing too - I'm just switching my hoop out for a tiny gold stud. It's really hard to even see across screens and I've been told it kind of looks like a freckle (I have tons of freckles lol). I just worry about taking it out and having it close up, since mine is relatively new. I think a small stud would be fine though! I have two very loud puppies, so I'll be going to my grandparents' house for my Zoom interviews. I'm gonna stop by this weekend and test out different rooms/lighting and make sure Zoom works on their computer. I do have a copy of the book written by my POI, but I think since the house I'll be interviewing from will very clearly not be my office/study space, it would just look like I'm trying to show off if I have it on the desk or anything. We'll see.
