  1. Just saw my rejection from York on Myfile! So happy to at least know now, the odds weren’t great haha
  2. This is getting exhausting
  3. That would be awful...
  4. I seem to remember seeing them saying this in last years forum as well. Can someone tell me if I’m making this up?
  5. That’s wild!! Thanks to all who responded - we got this haha
  6. Does anyone know if news for U of T is only sent out in the morning? Just wondering if I should stop looking at Acorn haha
  7. I was thinking the same thing! Before the weekend might be idea for them/us? Good luck everyone, this has been a really long and arduous journey for a lot of us. Hopefully we are in the final stretch I want to echo what @coffeegirl20 said earlier about how no matter what happens this year we are all still on our way to becoming future social workers!! Let’s not let 2021 admissions decisions define our worth ??
  8. Any movement for anyone on the U of T two year today? My stays is the same as yesterday.
  9. It really does! I hope we hear tomorrow!
  10. I am not a U of T student either. They should have sent you an email with your JoinID after you applied in the fall that explains how to get it set up. Maybe check you junk folder? Best of luck!!!
  11. Thanks for posting! I guess this isn’t a drill
  12. Oh no! Is the platform glitching?
  13. So my ACORN has not changed and my SGS still says “Under Review”. Is this the same for others here?
  14. I was really hoping to hear this week but that makes sense. Still holding out hope!!
  15. Does anyone know if people from previous years saw Acorn change in the morning exclusively? Or did people hear throughout the day? Just wondering if it’s worth checking after noon. Good luck everyone!!!
  16. Amazing amazing! Thank you so much
  17. What an exciting week!!! Best of luck all U of T 2-year applicants ❤️ A question to those who have been doing some digging in previous forums - what is the earliest in recent years that U of T has sent out acceptances for the 2-year?
  18. This was the same for the two year and I think I heard the Tuesday after February long weekend
  19. So I started a count down till the 25th of March. According to previous threads U of T 2-year acceptances come out between the 25th and early April. Even though this is pure conjecture it’s still nice for me to feel like I have some idea of what is going on even if I don’t get in haha That being said...9 days till the 25th! Maybe this can add some fun to a stressful and uncertain time for others that are waiting too
  20. I reached out to York Msw admissions for an update on the processing for the 2- year program and this is what they said: “We have received a record number of applications this year (especially in our most competitive program, the MSW 2 years program), which has unfortunately delayed our Review process - we apologize for this. Applicants for the MSW 2 years program can expect a Decision by mid to late April 2021. Once a Decision is made, it will be updated on your MFYILE portal; therefore, please keep monitoring your myfile account. You are also welcome to contact us if you don’t hear from us by the end April.” I hope this helps. Good luck everyone!!!
  21. Congratulations! I was recently accepted too Carleton and am so excited. It’s clinical specialization has a very good reputation and like others have mentioned, they seem pretty good at matching people with placement opportunities. There is a large community of hospital social workers and psychotherapists in Ottawa who graduated from Carleton’s MSW which I will also interpret as a good sign haha
  22. I just got my rejection from UVic. I am at peace with it but I just wanted to post here for those who are waiting on UVic to get back to them...I think this must mean admissions have started!!! Best of luck everyone
  23. Ahhh I can’t believe it’s only the 8th I’m waiting for U of T and it’s starting to eat at me
  24. Thanks so much for responding! It sounds like UVic makes perfect sense for you and you sound like a great applicant. Good luck
  25. A question to those of you applying to UVic MSW - is working in social policy your primary interest? If not, do you know anyone who has graduated from the UVic MSW recently and has gone on to become a clinical social worker? I am asking because I too applied to UVic and would love the chance to live in such a beautiful city! However, after looking at the course offerings in the program they look more policy oriented than clinical. I am currently working in a social policy role and am hoping to switch over to working clinically as a social worker. I love the anti-colonial, anti-oppressive bent of the program but I am worried it won’t give me the clinical skills I am looking for.
