Yes, I have received 4 interview invites so far - UT Austin, University of Utah, Baylor, and UNC - Chapel Hill. But, NYU is my top choice!

Last year when I applied to NYU Vilcek, I got a rejection on Jan 17th. So, not sure what is going to happen this year as it is already Jan 11th!? However, the admissions replied to me a couple of days back saying that they will be sending out invites till the end of February as they are interviewing through March this year.

I applied to the Biomedical Science PhD program (which is the umbrella program). And I think everyone has done the same. I don't think you can apply to an individual track per se. So, if I received this response, it essentially means it applies to the Biomedical Science PhD Umbrella program and not any specific tracks.

Yes, it was me. This is the exact response I received from the admissions: "Thank you for your interest. We have started to send out invitations to interview for January dates. You could hear anytime between now and February since we interview through March."

I applied to UT Austin - Pharmacology and Toxicology. Got an interview invite on Dec 23rd. Interview scheduled in the first week of February. However, even after getting the invite, the status on my application status page is still ‘In review’.

Great! Congratulations. I applied on Oct 27th after which they invited me to complete the secondary invitation by Dec 10th. I did so but still haven't heard back from them. I am an international applicant though! are you an international too? If not, did they ask you to complete the secondary application too? Just asking to understand if the secondary applications are only for the international applicants?

I have absolutely no idea regarding their interview schedule. They have not made it public. I don't see any information regarding this on their website.

When i messaged the admissions regarding a status update, they said, "The deadline for the PhD application was December 1, applications are under review. The date for decisions is April 15th, 2020. We have no date range for interview invitations. Monitor emails for communications." Could not get much clarity from this!?

Hey, I haven't heard back from NYU at all. This is the second year that I am applying to NYU. Last year, I directly received a rejection letter on January 17th. This year, I am expecting at least an interview invite. I emailed the admissions regarding the status last week but I have not received any response yet! As an international, getting into NYU - Vileck Institute is extremely competitive.

Seems like it was a mass email. Meaning, it just starts with your name “Dear XYZ....”. The rest of the content must be the same for everyone who gets the interview invite.
