Fall 2021 Clinical & Counseling PhD/PsyD

I assume that's the case! I would just hate to be annoying because I already reached out once before several weeks after my interviews and never heard back.. -

Hi all - still haven't heard from 2 schools that I'm waiting to hear from. Do I reach out? Do I keep waiting since I've waited this long anyway? Odd to me that they never even let me know if I was on a waitlist? I assume they would have told me if I was rejected after the interview. -

Does anyone have any clue how quickly things move on/after the 15th? Do people on waitlists start hearing as early as today or is the processed prolonged on for a few days? weeks? -

That's what I assumed as well... I also figured I'm maybe on a waitlist otherwise they would have informed me of a rejection by now? I guess we can't be sure. -

Is it normal for PIs to not reply to emails inquiring about the status of your application? I sent an email 3 weeks after my interview and never heard back. Thanks in advance! -

You're right. I figured I should maybe wait at least 4 weeks before reaching out to the PI. I keep going back and forth about whether or not I should reach out lol. I've only seen one person post an acceptance and it was for a different PI. -

At what point is it appropriate to follow up after an interview? I had an interview 3 weeks ago and have yet to hear anything. I followed up with a thank you email a couple days after my interview and in their response they added "As you may know, this process could take a while (sometimes into mid-April)". Should I take this as an indication that I should not follow up about my status? -

Hi all! I know the answer to this is likely "it varies", but can anyone provide insight as to how likely it is to get an offer after you are placed on a waitlist? -

I have noticed that a lot of people have rejected or assumed rejected for TC Counseling Psychology. Have people received formal notifications? If not, how are you coming to this conclusion? Thanks in advance! -

I got an email today letting me know I was not selected for an interview but referring me to their masters program. If you didn't get that email, there may be hope! -

I'm new to gradcafe so I don't fully know the ins and outs yet, but how do we know which posts are fake? -

Hi all! I was hoping to create a space where we can share advice on preparing for interviews for Clinical and Counseling PhD programs. What can we expect on interview day? Has anyone previously done a virtual interview day? What should we be on the lookout for since we will not get the experience of an in person visit? What advice would you give to someone going into a grad school interview for the first time? I would love to hear any and all experiences and advice. Thank you!
