  1. Email to check portal where "refusal" letter was waiting... had a chuckle at that verbiage. Good luck!
  2. Officially rejected @ McGill. Sooooooo relieved to finally know! Hoping for some closure from UofT next week as well. ?
  3. Anyone else still "In Review" for McGill? Saw that they sent official waitlist notifications today... looks like another rejection for me. Bahp.
  4. If first round has until April 2nd to accept or decline, I wouldn't expect anything until early April.

  6. Was posted on the results page today. Apparently first round is out and they have until April 2nd to reply. Everyone who hasn't been outright rejected is unofficially waitlisted... it's the first I've heard from anyone. Not sure if it's true. I wonder if anyone else has contacted program admin?
  7. YEPP. Apparently first round for UofT went out on the 12th?
  8. A planning applicant who posted on the results page indicated that they received an invite via Acorn today. Others who have applied to different programs (MPP and MSW specifically) have reported the same thing—an update on Acorn before official acceptance via email/SGS portal. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen an update in Acorn... not that it necessarily means anything!
  9. Apparently some applicants receive an update on Acorn hinting at acceptance before the official decision is posted on the SGS application portal. Essentially, it's an "invite" to register for the fall semester. I have absolutely no idea, just saw on the results page that someone had this happen and have been picking through other UofT threads to corroborate. Seems like a common occurrence though certainly not official. Was just curious... mine hasn't updated, and I haven't heard of any other UofT applicants receiving updates save for that one result. ?‍♀️
  10. Has anyone who applied to UofT checked Acorn recently? Looks like someone got "invited" today... curious to know if others have received an update!
  11. Econ/development is super relevant to planning! I come from a humanities background (Art History–focus on architectural theory and social space) with completely unrelated professional work experience... so I feel like it's a total crapshoot. I got into UofT's M.Arch program a couple of years ago but decided I didn't want to become an architect, so here we are. We'll see how it goes! ? UofT is super expensive... so is COL in Toronto (and Vancouver for that matter). Montreal would be a dream!
  12. Haven't heard anything from Toronto yet. Still waiting on McGill. No interview at UBC so for sure out. UofT is my top choice for a number of reasons. There are specific faculty I am gunning to work with, the Collaborative Specialization in Community Development would compliment my project, and I am very interested in research opportunities with the Cultural Economy Lab. I am contemplating a PhD down the road, so UofT's theory-heavy program appeals... as does their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the field. ? For me, McGill is second for faculty and fit. Great program reputation doesn't hurt. UBC has a fantastic program... though admittedly, it is not a great fit for me. I am not surprised by my result. I did undergrad there and would love to study elsewhere.
  13. Have been refreshing my inbox all morning. Nothing! I suppose UBC is off the table for me. ? Big congrats to you and best of luck!!!!
