The trick is to find faculty who finished their grad school in the States and are thus more used to the American style of things!

I feel too young as well, honestly (I’m 22), but I really can’t imagine doing anything other than teaching and researching.

The LSE Comparative Politics program is excellent. I just graduated from it in November. Based on your interests, I hope you checked out the conflict studies program as well! It’s a slightly smaller program but it’s tied a bit more closely to your interests.

Rejected from San Diego! To be fair, this was the program with the least alignment of research interests, which goes to show how important fit is!

My favourite anti stress activity is listening to the Beach Boys unreleased album from the 1960s. Apparently, some centre’s use it to help people get off bad psychedelic trips. Here’s a link for anyone who might want it!
