  1. I had my NYU interview and I felt very nervous going in so I wanted to help the peeps out who have upcoming interviews. I had read on this forum that your interviewer may have not read your play, so I prepared for that. To my surprise, my interviewer had read my play and we had a great discussion about it. I would say be prepared to talk more about your play. That may seem like a given, but talking about your own play can be hard, so coming in with your main pitch ready to go will make you feel so much better. And there will be a lot of time for questions so make sure to come in with a list, the more the better! I would also definitely suggest looking into the mirror before your interview and saying: I'm the hottest, smartest, coolest playwright in the world. ~~manifesting~~
  2. @jeepersjinkiesI'm in the same boat as you: still waiting on Hunter!
  3. thank you everyone!!! you all rock! this is only the beginning...I believe in us ❤️ (I always talk about this forum and my dad just said "what are your friends on grad cafe up to today?" lmao)
  4. got an interview for northwestern? ahhhhh!
  5. @AgezI see you with that UCSD interview!!!? break all the legs!
  6. Anyone know when we should expect to start hearing things from Brooklyn, Northwestern, Hunter, Brown, or NYU? Looking at last year, it seems interviews started happening end of February but I'm getting very antsy and was wondering if we could be hearing sooner? blehhhhh, maybe I'm just wishing for info none of us have
  7. @nickelmoopCONGRATULATIONS!!! this is so very exciting!
  8. @yoinky @c.k.thompson.playwright Good luck with CMU, friends!! Sending good vibes your way! From looking on this thread, it seems NYU, Northwestern, & Brown do interviews. Brooklyn does not. I think it's possible to be accepted without an interview, but the interview is usually a sign that you've made it to the next round. I feel like I've already poured my whole soul into the application, so with the interview, I'm like...what else do you what to know? Lol. But, that's mostly just me being very terrified of screwing it up. Interviews are awks.
  9. Ok I just discovered this thread and it is a historical document... like WOAH...strangers have been convening on here for ten years to discuss a common dream...Jeremy O. Harris was on here when he applied to Yale?! GAAAH. I feel like Aang looking down the long line of Avatars that have come before him. I mean, this has got to be the most niche corner of the internet, right? Well, HELLO. I'm happy to be here with the 2021 squad. I'm a first time applicant, I've applied to Brooklyn, Hunter, NYU, Northwestern, and Brown. The relief I felt after submitting those apps lasted about 0.2 seconds and now the new wave of anxiety has set in. I just need to know my future! I need to know if I'll be moving out of my childhood bedroom! I believe in us. Let's make those dreams come TRUE!!!
