  1. Did anyone attend Columbia's MA Climate and Society admitted students day? I love the program and feel its a really good fit for me in my academic and professional journey right now, but am hesitant mostly because of funding (I would have to take out loans). There are readily available GRA positions that pay about 2k a semester, which certainly helps and is great experience, but doesn't make a huge dent in the overall cost. Really struggling to choose between that program and others in which I've been admitted where the total admit cost would be cut in half. Sounds like other people are in a similar boat with SEAS . . . its so tough
  2. I am! Kings College London and University of Edinburgh. I'm always wishing there was more info about UK/overseas schools on here.
  3. I just received the exact same email. Happy to not be rejected of course but obviously now it's just more waiting. I have to give Columbia MA Climate + Society a deposit by March 31 so the waitlist deadline kind of sucks lol. Does anyone know what the waitlist experience is like for Bren? Is it typical for people to get off it?
  4. I haven't heard from Bren either, and sent in my application on Jan 1. Hoping it's not a rejection but who knows
  5. Yes! I am. And I believe a few others on here are as well. Hoping to hear back soon though! Fingers crossed.
  6. Also rejected from Yale, not surprised at all (June 2020 grad lol). Still waiting for Bren and a couple programs in the UK to get back to me. Exciting to start to narrow down where we all might be, atleast!
  7. I'm honestly not sure! I'm still waiting to hear back from Bren, Yale, and a couple programs in the UK. Although the C&S program at Columbia isn't a traditional env management program, it seems to strongly align with my goals/interests while also still having professional development opportunities. Definitely a top choice for me, although cost will be rough. I could definitely see myself picking Columbia in the end, but for now, I'm unsure. How about yourself?
  8. Not sure if anyone else on here applied to Columbia's MA in Climate and Society, but I just received an acceptance Thought I'd spread the word!
  9. Thank you! I am still hopeful. I have heard back from both Arizona State and Loyola with acceptances, so while they aren't traditional env management programs, I have some choices. Still waiting on 5 others so I'm feeling OK. Truthfully, SEAS was my first and worst application SOP wise, so I'm hoping for other good news in the next few weeks. This whole process is so nerve wrecking!
  10. I just heard from SEAS. Rejected Hopefully it's different for you!
  11. Also have yet to hear from SEAS ? After incessantly stalking the results page on here (lol), it looks like last year decisions came out over the course of a week, potentially in two waves (the 18th and the 25th). And based on what someone said earlier about a SEAS admissions staff saying they will come out "over the next week", I think its possible that there will be a second batch of notifications next week. Also, did anyone just receive a notice from Yale about all decisions being released on or before the 8th?
  12. Congrats everyone!!! Haven’t heard anything yet, but I applied for the Environmental Justice specialization so maybe they haven’t released those yet (at least thats what I’m hoping!). It seems like a lot of the policy and planning acceptances came out today along with a few others.
  13. Congrats!! Did they send you an email or was it just an update to your portal status?
  14. Congrats everyone! Even though I didn't apply to Duke myself, just hearing of other people's success this cycle makes me feel more optimistic. Hoping for news on SEAS this week as well, as I'm sure many of you all are! Keeping the positive vibes going
  15. Well, looks like it'll likely be this week for SEAS/Duke (hopefully)! If so, good luck to everyone!
