It doesn't mention anything about a deposit, it just says I have until "end of day" April 9th to accept. But I'm afraid that "end of day" could mean a wide range of things. I tried emailing and calling, but no response as yet. I'm just kind of insecure about going back and being like oh jk i don't actually want your offer lol

Does anyone know if Waterloo generally takes a deposit for their BSW/MSW program? I'm going through crisis mode trying to figure out what I should do. Any advice?

Yeah I have a feeling they're doing it manually, just given how long it is between each one. It's slightly annoying, but at least they're getting started. Just slightly frustrating and stressful if they don't get it done tomorrow and then stop over the weekend.

Do we think there's a chance for offers to go out tomorrow? I always get confused about Easter Monday because I know schools (for the kids) and government offices are normally closed, but for everyone else it's basically a regular work day. I'm hoping we all get some news this week so that we have some peace of mind

*sigh* yet another week with nothing from uoft. I really did not expect it to take this long. Makes me feel better knowing I’m not alone though. I swear I just sit here alternating between acorn & the sgs portal. I really hope to get an answer before next Friday. I got accepted to the BSW at Waterloo and they want an answer by April 9th. They sent an email out yesterday saying they aren’t gonna be giving extensions this year so that stresses me out even more ?

That's super helpful! I'm just finishing up my undergrad right now at Waterloo in their Social Development Studies program which encompasses soc, psych and social work. I decided to take my chances applying to the 2 year MSW at UofT, and then I also applied to the BSW at Waterloo which is similar to Lakehead's fast tracked program as the BSW at Waterloo runs for 10 months and includes a placement for the duration of the 10 months. Of course I would prefer getting into the MSW at UofT, however, thought applying to the BSW as a backup would be a good idea in case I don't get into UofT. Maybe that way I'd have a better shot at getting in next year with a BSW if I don't get in this year. Got my offer for the BSW today, but hoping UofT lets us know soon so that I know what I'm getting into! If you're in the progress of completing a BSW, you're still able to apply to the advanced standing program? It's good to know for next year in case I don't get into the 2yr program this year!

Hey! It should say it under academics. If you receive an offer, it'll appear as "invited". Mine currently says "Financially Cancelled" because I used to go to UofT and transferred to Waterloo in my second year. But should you receive an offer, that's where it would appear! Otherwise, the alternative decision would appear on the SGS portal! Hope that helps!

I was wondering about that too! Curious to know if it’s another international student or whether they’ve started sending out offers for domestic students. Pretty interested in finding out whether it’s for the one year or two year program. The waiting game is killing me!!

Does anyone know how many people get accepted into the MSW 2 year program at UofT? I'm sure they get a lot of applicants, but it would be nice to know what the odds are! The waiting game is torture ?

Does anyone know if Uoft sends out offers for the 2 year program in Feb, or is that just advanced standing? I've been hearing mixed things about the way they send out offers. Also is it via mail or email? Heard mixed things about that too, if anyone knows, that'd be great!

I submitted my written statement on Dec 8th and my application moved to "under review" on Dec. 23rd, but I had all my other docs in much earlier. Not sure how they do it tbh, but hopefully it'll change soon!
