Also rejected from Yale. Waiting on Toronto, Harvard, Princeton, and Duke (interview happening late March). Admitted to BU and Michigan, waitlisted at Chicago. Best of luck to everyone still waiting and those making decisions!
Anyone claiming the Princeton acceptance in the results page or is it spam? I was talking with my POI and she said as of yesterday they were still in the admissions process.
It wasn’t for IPCAA, if that helps. For Classical Studies, they’re not telling faculty who was accepted or waitlisted, I know that much. But decisions were made for the CS PhD, as far as I know.
Definitely French: arguably there's more scholarship in French as a whole (and older dialects of French are more accessible if you end up needing to reference works from pre-17th century, etc). Plus, with French, you'll have a much easier time with Italian, and could potentially pick that up on your own. German is also critical!
I was accepted, and I just wanted to note that recruitment week is next week because that seems to signal the end of their decision process for this cycle (until all admits have made decisions/space potentially open up on the waitlist!)
