My Dal portal updated last week to accepted - deposit requested and then I received the official email March 3rd and it says deposit is due by March 17th (I am part-time online - maybe it's different for full time?)

You won’t be able to create a net ID until you get the official letter from the registrars office with your email info (from what I remember when I applied for my BSW)

The application fee was $115, admission fee is $200

Hey yes! I applied for the program through my current net ID login - but it doesn’t show a change on there yet! I believe they send them by mail first and won’t update until it’s approved by the facility of graduate studies

No - the acceptance letter says their recommendation was sent to the facility if graduate studies and then if it’s approved by them they’ll send an email with an official letter with the $200.00 deposit and deadline to accept

Hahah I hope you are too!! The letter was dated Feb 7th, so if they actually sent it that day then it took a bit to get here from Hali.. and we’ve been having bad weather too, so it may be taking a while for the letters to get mailed

Ohhh ok, I did my BSW at Dal and applied for part time online, I wonder if they send all the letters out at the same time??

People who applied to Dal - did you apply for full time in person or part time online?

Hello friends application is in for dal’s online msw…now we wait ?

They definitely have unreasonable expectations. It’s difficult to balance without children so I can only imagine how much harder it is! I was told before that Laurier expects at least 10 years experience ... they really want someone to “practice” social work for 10 years before being good enough to do their MSW?? Its a little ridiculous to me... especially when there is a huge need for social workers and we all know we won’t make the money we deserve only having a BSW. I *think* Dalhousies MSW has a fully online option! I believe applications are due November 1st and they only have a September start date so you should check that out!

Wow!!! Definitely sounds like a strong application. Did you apply anywhere else? It’s confusing to me that they only have space for 25 people in an online program... and I wish we could reach out to discuss our applications but I know they said they don’t “have the capacity” to do this. Such a bummer ?

Oh! ?? was it admissions that told you? When I emailed they gave me a very vague answer “Please visit our Application Checklist page for the decision target dates. We are not able to provide a “specific date”. Decisions may be made earlier or later than expected and will be sent electronically to the email address provided at time of application.” ?

It’s a dreadful wait. Someone posted that we may not hear until end of May / start of June

From reading previous threads it doesn’t change..... but I didn’t get a receipt email ?? it does say on the loris page that everything was submitted though

I think end of April / start of May I am also waiting on this and it feels like it’s taking forever!
