  1. Ahhh, I'm sorry to hear. As they say, it's not over til it's over! I hope the uni comes through and that you get funding.
  2. I've heard back, I won a Fulbright Student Award! Very excited, still unsure whether I'll accept it (as I've been accepted to LSE, as well), but yes. Successful round
  3. I got accepted to a double master's at LSE, but my funding application was declined. They said they'll let us know whether we received any Master's Awards by July, but that seems rather late? Especially seeing as we're expected to accept within 6 weeks of getting admitted and I can only really make decisions on which school to go to depending on financial help. Is anyone else in the same boat?
  4. Oh man, congrats!! Does it say on your portal what award you got? It doesn't say for mine, and I wish I knew bc they did not offer me a ton of money hah.
  5. I was accepted to Columbia's MA (Arts & Culture)! Also haven't received info on funding. Congrats to everyone else!!
  6. Program Applied To (MPA, MPP, IR, etc.): MA, MsC Schools Applied To: LSE (MA + MSc), NYU (MA), Columbia (MA) Schools Admitted To: LSE (Waiting to hear about funding), NYU ($0) Schools Rejected From: N/A Still Waiting: Columbia Undergraduate Institution: Carleton University (Canada) Undergraduate GPA: We don't use GPA Undergraduate Major: Journalism GRE Quantitative/Verbal/AW Scores: N/A Years Out of Undergrad (if applicable): 6 Years of Work Experience: 6 Describe Relevant Work Experience: Internships both in Canada + U.S., multimedia contracts in radio/podcasting/digital, associate producer title, currently associate editor at a magazine. Strength of SOP (be honest, describe the process, etc): I've been working on them for months and had them edited by trusted peers a couple times, so I think they're fairly strong. Strength of LOR's (be honest, describe the process, etc): I didn't read them. I mixed professional and academic for NY schools and only academic for LSE. I imagine they were all strong, I did well in undergrad and was very involved, so my professors knew me well. Other: I need money ?
  7. thank you!! yeah haha, suffice to say I will be checking my spam regularly. best of luck to you, as well! here's hoping there's good news all around
  8. Hi all! The email went to my spam folder early Feb. (mortifying) and I just realized now thanks to a follow-up, but I received word I "passed the first step and that the Adjudication Committee has recommended you for a 2022-2023 Fulbright Canada Traditional Student Award to the United States." They go on to say we should hear on or before April 15th.
  9. Hi all, Canadian who applied to Fulbright US student award. I feel like they told us it'd be later (April?) we hear back, but I might've made that up. I also realized (because I was travelling at the time) that I did not submit a bibliography, so I'm... a little dejected. Anyway, good luck to everyone. I hope you were not dumb like me and submitted *all* the things.
