I see people getting rejected who have 3.9+ GPAs, high GREs and Letters of Recommendation from top Professors at reputable institutions.
I am in no way claiming all of those black people are unqualified.
However this seemed like a concerted effort from Black in AI so it is likely black students got admitted with lower GPAs. This is unfair.

Has Berkeley admitted anyone in HCI?
-
So are those programs all finished choosing their cohorts?
No one mentioned Stanford yet.
Is Berkeley done? -
I have been concerned for a week now about Berkeley PhD program.
I am super duper concerned.
All of the CS admits seems to have been chosen and it's usually early February.

Has anyone heard anything now?

It seems many people got acceptances February 3rd and 4th.
Is it safe to say if you didn't receive anything a rejection email is waiting?Someone on the results pages mentioned the EECS acceptances have all been sent out.
Which concentrations were sent out? Anyone from SCIENTIFIC COMPUTING, ENERGY, EDUCATION, HCI, GRAPHICS?
UC Berkeley – EECS class is fifteen percent black

I do not think it's ethically or legally right. Diversity is great and I am a proponent for it but black CS grads make up 7-8% so 15% is not normal.
So they practiced overt affirmative action.
