To all the people who got scholarship offers, did you apply for the MPA_ DP program? Please confirm, because It seems that NONE of the MPA DP admits have received any scholarship info-or we are the unluckiest bunch in the pool of applicants lol.

Hearing sooo many MPA DP candidates specifically gives me some hope- I spoke to a friend and his portal updated two weeks after he received a decision (this is two years back for the regular MPA)- so perhaps in the next 10 days we still might get some updates- fingers crossed.

I was accepted to the MIA with funding. I actually just reached out to the DP office and asked about potential transfer. They noted that the MIA/MPA vs. MPA-DP admissions committees are completely different and so are their funding pools. Not sure if that helpful but maybe DP just did not have as much funding to give this year. Sorry if that is the case :(

how do you know if you have no aid? Is this because you received a mail saying you did not get aid or because you got no email at all?

I'm an MC MPA Mason admit - but have not heard regarding aid, from the email mentioned in my offer.

I got an email to login to MYFAID and it only showed loans and no scholarships on the "view awards" tab

Did anyone get into SIPA and is leaning towards SAIS? I got into SAIS Europe and I’m finding it hard to compare anything when Italy sounds incredible

I am very confused about this as well! Not sure how to compare especially since SAIS Europe has been fully in person with COVID

Similar aid as well (about 50% for both)

I got accepted into the MIEF with some aid. I was under the impression that this was the SAIS program with the best placements but looking at the new list of outcomes they seem kinda lackluster, idk. Maybe I shouldn't judge it too harshly considering the outcomes are for 2020 and everyone probably struggled with getting hired in the middle of a pandemic.

Do you mind expanding on where you are looking at the placements are how are you judging them?

  6. How does everyone feel about SAIS and Fletcher in comparison to similar programs? Esp. with COVID still a part of the picture.

I have been accepted to SAIS Bologna, Fletcher, Georgetown MSFS, NYU Wagner, and LSE thus far (still waiting on HKS and SIPA) and as of now SAIS has given me the most money (about 40% tuition/yr scholarship).

Curious how people feel about the value of a SAIS education vs these others and how people are feeling about Bolgona in the fall given COVID!

Also happy to hear any info anyone has about negotiating for more scholarship funding or about SAIS's requirement of keeping a 3.4 to keep the scholarship.

Ugh yes this does not bode well:Admitted Student Questions

How much estimated financial aid will I receive?

If you have been admitted to a program and the department has decided to offer you a fellowship, assistantship, or scholarship, the amount of your award will be included in your admission letter.

Weird that no one on here has reported any aid today though

No mention of funding in my letter either......

Not sure if that means there was no funding given or if it comes later, my guess is that it's the former.

Funding decisions are out. Got $48k over two years! Now im really considering fletcher over SIPA

I also really like these two (and SAIS)-- what is factoring into your decision other than funding?

in the past they have sent non-detailed emails to admits on the Thursday of notification week and decisions on the Friday....hopefully by Thursday night the wait will at least be over!

(all info just comes from snooping on old gradcafe forums, not from any other official source.)

On the website, it says admissions decisions on March 15th
