  1. Hi all! Shooting this question to see if there are any thoughts. The ones who have received a waiver, how are you planning to finance the balance? Thanks!
  2. Hi all. The ones who have heard back on financial aid, how are you financing the rest?
  3. Hey I did. On Tuesday, actually. They reverted saying I should expect an email by the end of next week. I'm sure they've shared such a timeline after having considered sufficient buffer. So for the ones here who haven't heard back on their application or aid, I believe they have quite a few panels on the Adcom. So it depends on each panel, their schedules, availability, etc before they communicate their decisions. Nothing else explains why some of us are still waiting to hear from them despite applying around the same time. Best wishes for all!
  4. I was accepted back in Jan. My status changed from Adcom to Accepted in 12 days. However, no news on the finaid yet.
  5. Hey!! Congratulations! So so nice to hear that! I'm yet to hear back though
  6. Congratulations to all! All eyes on the scholarship and financial aid decisions now ?
  7. Hahaha! Bang on. I'd love to read a scholarship essay that's accepted. Not kidding.
  8. Interesting to note if you come to think of it! I too haven't seen anyone anywhere claiming to have been turned down by Hertie ? Anyone considering Willy Brandt SPP?
  9. Hey, same here. I was looking at ISA options, but that has been ruled out now. Looking at the remaining options now. Financial aid is going to be the decider.
  10. How is it that I didn't discover this thread before? Haha! Good to know there's so many of us out there.
  11. Good luck to you too! Do take a look at Chancen eG's income-sharing option. Although I'm yet to go into the details, it looks a viable option for bridge funding.
  12. Agreed. I'm thinking about exploring options of income-sharing along with a waiver if I get one. I don't wanna take out a student loan now. I haven't applied anywhere else. US and UK anyway are expensive in terms of cost of living. And scholarships and aids are hard to come by. I was thinking of LKY and Tokyo too, but I didn't apply. But being in Asia all throughout, I wanted a global experience which may be a Sciences Po or a Hertie could've provided. I've an MBA degree, employed for 3 years now, with some international and volunteering experience. Hope you crack some aid man!
  13. Hey, same here. Although I believed I had a fair chance (I mean I know, everyone feels likewise about his/her application :p). I'm dejected. However no point brooding or fretting over it. I don't expect much out of their financial aid. I've mostly seen people getting 10-50% aid. The balance is still a big amount for me. How are you planning things now?
