  1. Title says it all. What funding might be out there, other than third-party scholarships, for terminal masters degrees? I'm in Canada, but any and all advice will be wonderful for future thread users.
  2. Domestic, and I think I submitted before the early deadline in January.
  3. Yes, same here! Now I'm thinking about funding. There's a WhatsApp group floating around here for accepted MIs, are you in it?
  4. Silly question, do they send out offers on weekends?
  5. If you have gone through McGill's MISt program in the last 5-6 years, what did you think? It looks to me that they've re-vamped courses offerings for Fall 2021, but I've heard in past years that not all courses on the website are offered often enough. I was offered a place at McGill, and a very possible big financial award, but if the practicum isn't even likely to appear, and the courses are crap (I would like a comp. sci approach), then I am running as fast as I can. Any ideas? I consider myself to be an intermediate French speaker, if that makes a difference.
  6. Don't dox yourself, but did you apply straight from undergrad?
  7. Yes, this is the case for me too. My anxiety is off the charts. Good luck to you, mate!
  8. I haven't seen a thread for this program, so here we go. Let's celebrate and commiserate together.
  9. Does anyone here have experience working in physics + astronomy with their MLIS? Perhaps you did data science at a research institution, like an observatory or an accelerator, or even CERN's amazing library and its Open Data program? Maybe you work(ed) at a university library as a subject specialist. I would like to hear from you about what experiences you had and what you liked/didn't like, plus a little bit about your educational background.
