  1. This past week would have been the deadline for first group of applicants who were accepted, which could yield some good news. Judging by the forum it seems like Mondays and Fridays are popular days for the acceptance emails to be sent out but I could be wrong. I had a 78% average during my undergrad and 81% during my last two years. My EC's were decent but nothing spectacular: varsity athlete and some involvement with the school paper. I think what really helped was my experience profile because my summer job is mostly teaching junior golf camps which put me at about 3,500 hours and I was involved in minor hockey each year which gave me another 1,000. I hope this helps, and that you get some good news soon!!
  2. I applied maybe a week after the deadline and heard back on February 18th, i'm sure they're still meandering through applications plus within the next couple of weeks people will accept offers to different programs/schools and a bunch of spots will begin to open up. Wishing you the best of luck!!
  3. I was accepted to the J/I stream with English as my teaching subject at Brock and U of T, hby?
  4. Hey! Firstly, congratulations on your acceptance! I feel like I'm in a similar situation, I stayed at home while doing my undergrad at Brock and while I have the opportunity to do my B.Ed there I was also accepted into the MT program and would much rather be at U of T. I think the "not a real masters" narrative detracts from the fact it gives students the chance to learn from some of the most knowledgeable minds in the field of education at one of the best Universities in the world (though UBC is no slouch either). I have spoken to some acquaintances who were enrolled in the MT and they loved it. I personally am looking forward to the research aspect. From my experiences in Toronto, there is always something to do in the city whatever your niche may be, but it doesn't have the cramped feeling some other big cities have. If you don't mind being so far from home I would say take the plunge.
