  1. Not sure if it's only happening to me but the gse.harvard.edu website and the LDIT program website is not opening up.
  2. Not sure if it's a parallel reference, but just wanna provide another perspective. I also applied to a program at Stanford's GSE which has a similar decision release timeline of early March as advocated on their website similar to Harvard. I received my decision in late Feb. However, the program is much smaller so it might not be comparable to Harvard. They do not even accept or consider GRE this year, so perhaps people would be more inclined to apply given that everyone has the same playing field in terms of GRE stats to give it a shot. Hopefully Harvard will stick to their original decision release timeline as well.
  3. HAHA love this!
  4. From what I've heard from admissions via email, they will be released by the end of march and they are aiming for mid-march if possible. Still hoping to hear back today but I feel like it is gonna be pushed back till next Friday.
  5. That's an interesting perspective. Most of my Chinese friends are actually in the US. I guess it depends on the school/region. A lot of my friends who went back to China are trying to get back to the states. But it's good to know that some international students are choosing to settle down temporarily in their home country at this moment.
  6. I am international applicant although I did my undergrad in the US. I think in general there are more international applicants for graduate schools from what I know, because many international students have a hard time finding work due to covid after graduation. Additionally, continuing education in the US is one of the only ways for internationals to remain in the US if we cannot find work.
  7. It could still be this Friday if they are following what they have been doing historically. Do you happen to know usually at what time do they release the results? I think my anxiety would probably cause me to refresh my email once every ten minutes lol
  8. This is the email I received from the admissions just now. So it seems like they are targeting a mid-march notification date as opposed to the first week of March "Thank you for your email. We appreciate your question and can understand your eagerness to know when you can expect a decision. Please know that we are working as quickly as we can to complete our evaluation process and communicate decisions, with a focus on making sure our process provides us with the time necessary to make sure each file is carefully and fully considered. Our plan is to notify all applicants by the end of March at the latest, and by mid-March if possible. "
  9. I think for all those who applied to HGSE, we all have some sort of confidence already in the work that we do and are people who strives to achieve more. I have some degree of confidence as well but definitely still very very doubtful. Getting accepted to Harvard seems like such a vague and over-reaching idea to me, but it's worth a try. I think everyone who are already on this thread engaging in conversations are, to some degree, above average because we care so much that we want to engage with others potentially gonna be in the cohort and figure out our chances of being admitted even after submission. Therefore, like you said, because we cared so much, we probably put more effort into the application, which hopefully will convince the admissions. I know I will probably be very disappointed if I am rejected but I just have to remind myself that at the end of the day, it's just an application, which does not have the ability to showcase everything that I do for the admissions to get to know me. I am also very anxious, especially this week, but I kept on telling myself that even if I am rejected, the work that I do and what I want to do in the future is still meaningful and valid. Hope this can relieve some anxiety for everyone. We should already be very proud of ourselves to have taken the step to pursue to achieve more.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely give it a try if we don't hear back from Harvard this Friday.
  11. I know...my anxiety is through the roof. I have to get back to another program by 3/12 and not knowing an exact date is stressing me out.
  12. Do you mind sharing the portal link?
  13. Are you guys able to login to the application portal? For some reason, my old link is not working and I cannot seem to find the login page. Would we get a new link on Friday to check our decision?
  14. Good Idea! Here are my stats: School: Vanderbilt Peabody GPA: 3.5ish/4 Human and Organizational Development (had rly low GPA for sophomore year but pulled it up later on) GRE: V: 161, Q: 157, W: 5.0 Experiences/Activities: - A few internships in education and technology related companies - I’m applying straight out of college as well but I tried to find internships and work every summer and winter break - Took a gap year in Europe researching foreign language acquisition process LOR: 2 professors, 1 from work (Prolly won't be admitted due to inconsistent GPA. Also, I found out that I made several stupid grammatical errors in my essay after submission so...yeah...)
  15. Good luck! Hopefully we will have a decision by this Friday assuming if there will not be any delays...
  16. Mine is changed to "under review." FINALLY, after a month... Although I did have to email admissions that I needed an answer before March 12th because I need to get back to another program at that time.
  17. I have had technology-related educational experiences but almost all of my professional experiences are during my summer internships. Not sure if that would count as much as a full time job, but I guess it's better than nothing. Fingers crossed!
  18. I applied to the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology program!
  19. Hey everyone, I was wondering how many people in this thread applied to the master's program without much experience directly from undergrad? I have decent academic background but I am a bit afraid that my lack of professional and full time experience might earn me a rejection
  20. That's an interesting perspective!!
  21. By the way, does anyone know the approximate admission rate for the MI program from the point of view of past applicants? I am sure there are stats somewhere but the school of I does not disclose this info. I asked Andrea but she told me to just focus on my own application lmao
  22. I applied on Jan 29th as well. I wonder what is the point of Early Decision if r=our profile still hasn't been reviewed yet after a month. Hopefully we will hear back soon. Good Luck.
  23. I am an international applicant and my status is still "documents received." I applied in late January before the Early Decision deadline. I am emailing Andrea today to see what is the approximate timeline for my status to be changed to "Under Review." Hopefully I will not get one of those copied and pasted responses. Please let me know if you guys have any updates! I love U of T but my application experience with them has been frustrating so far. From what I have read, they don't seem to be very organized being a school where they specialize in Information management...
