Just got my decision letter from University of Maryland's PhD in Comms program. I did not get in. It was the only program I applied to. While I have a robust career I love, I am bummed about this decision because this program would have been a really great pivot point for where I wanna take my career next. Gonna go pour a glass of something and go feel sorry for myself for a few hours. Then, onward and upward, as they say, to a different path to get where I want to go. Wishing you all the very best as more decisions roll in over the next week or so.

I guess we're still in the running because, one would imagine, they would have already notified the absolute no/declines as part of the initial decision release wave. I imagine this is a really competitive year across the board because it seems (based on updates in other places) that other departments throughout the university have been slow to roll out due to funding decisions/allocations from the university. Wishing you lots of good luck, and fingers crossed for us both!

@KatGrad757 Also still waiting to hear from Maryland. Did you interview with them or meet with any POI prior to or during the application process?

Has anyone applied to the Comms PhD program at University of Maryland? Based on the accept/deny dates from the past few years, it seems like the program is releasing their info later this year. Trying not to be anxious ... hahahahahhahhaaaa, right.
