  1. Haha, no I get it, it's definitely a vanity application. The longer we wait, though, it's true, the more turned off I am by them.
  2. Dude same. I don't think I really need my answer from CU, I've made my decision. When a program feels like it crafted for you and how you write and work and you connect to faculty and the curriculum, then the decision becomes much easier.
  3. Getting to the next round is still a huge accomplishment, congrats! First show bible for me, too. Lots of googling lol. After this nap I'm gonna get back to it.
  4. Thank you! And you're also in NYC! We clearly should've already been friends. This application cycle on all writing things has definitely been insane. Who knows, your passion might come back. Either way, you're still writing and that's wonderful.
  5. Thank you! All the fluids and soup. I miss my appetite and healthy lungs!! I'm a finalist for a screenwriting fellowship and need to finish a show bible for the script by the 2nd and I'm being less than productive. I'm gonna blame the 2 Cs: Covid and Columbia. The far spread of notifications does seem pretty haphazard and sadistic lol. Good luck and I hope you hear good news this week! Today preferably.
  6. I'm still waiting one way or the other, as well. And I came down with COVID so I literally have nothing to do except sit in my room in front of my computer and phone.
  7. For sure!
  8. That is so awesome! Omg it’s as if this school is screaming at me that we’re meant to be. We’ll have to discuss all that and how you’re leaning.
  9. Wait, wtf, are you serious???!! I mean, I definitely have a big boner for their program, but that is just a cherry on top. I have mine on Wednesday!
  10. CU is $61K, I think. Insane price tag. And a terrible student to teacher ratio. Part of why SLC has become my favorite right now.
  11. Yeah, I'm gonna talk to her about that too!
  12. I went to it and honestly it got me really excited about possibly going there. The program is all about craft and community, so it doesn't have that cut throat competition approach. It was a lot of fun and inspiring, at least for me. I'm having a zoom chat with Paige next week to discuss more about it one on one.
  13. Whoa didn’t hear about that. Daaaaaaaaaaamn. Now I wanna know all the things.
  14. I'm waiting on CU, as well. I thought I had heard The New School contacted people, am I wrong?
  15. Yeah, it was like a dry dildo. Not great.
  16. Haha I called upon the rejection gods and just received my notification! Boom goes the dynamite?
  17. Have there been any NYU fiction acceptances seen? I haven't heard a peep about anyone getting in, yet.
  18. Yeah I'm still waiting on NYU and CU and it's becoming extremely frustrating that there's no news still. We gotta make decisions people! Just let us know so mama can move on. Maybe also start a coven. Who knows.
  19. That’s an amazing journalism program, congrats!
  20. Yeah, that's how I would take it. Ice cream and tequila shots and singing Fleetwood Mac's Rumours.
  21. Oh that hurts my heart. The only rejection I've got right now is Brown and it was pretty standard, "You're cool, but not right for me" kind of thing. I can't imagine opening my status and seeing, "DENIED A-HOLE!"
  22. Oh damn. That is COLD.
  23. Oh for sure. @Ydrl , you'd get my vote if I had been on any of the panels. Hope you get that Maryland slot, love.
  24. Facts. Columbia and NYU need to just finish the damn thing and tell us what's what.
  25. LOOK AT YOUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! That's wonderful! Congratulations!!
