I am wondering if people have thoughts... heard back about financial aid for the program I want to attend and received a package that looks like this: Tuition (45k/yr) - Covered (need based scholarship) Living expenses (18k/ur) Unit loan (recommended a federal subsidized loan) It’s a three-year program which amounts to 54k in debt. It seems like a good scholarship but I am still in debt from undergrad. Are schools ever known to include living expenses in their need-based scholarships, or is this probably the most generous they’ll be? Should I ask for more? I don’t have much leverage...it was the only school I applied to. Thanks for your thoughts!

Yes. My interview for Yale was very awkward, and I was pretty certain I’d sabotaged my case...I had technological issues (and was really nervous and shy). A kind faculty member talked me through fixing a screen share situation for 12 of the 40 minutes, as the other six participants patiently watched. I mumbled through the rest of it, had time to talk about only 1/5 works I’d prepared, and managed to ask them a question they didn’t really understand or know the answer to...I honestly can’t even remember the question. I guess sometimes it’s not about being eloquent and verbose, maybe they just want to see how you are under pressure...and they had their ideas about my work prior to the interview.

Right...I think it was possibly that the decisions were made today, not necessarily that we would be informed today. My bad for being vague
