  1. I don't know if you still need help, but just in case other people search this up in the future...when I accepted my offer, there was no payment involved.
  2. As MedMPH said, Athabasca University's statistics course is accepted by most universities in Canada and is a legitimate online course. You can find the syllabus here: https://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/math/math215.php At U of T for instance, MATH215 transfers to be equivalent to STA220, the standard undergraduate introductory statistics course taken by most life sciences students.
  3. Domestic student finishing my final year at the University of Toronto! My undergraduate GPA at the time of application to U of A was 3.88 (3.97 with the removal of one course where I received a C due to an emergency before the final). Research: Not much – research assistant for 3 years, but in 2 education labs not related to my degree. I was a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholar for 3 months in Kenya a few years ago. I decided not to pursue a thesis, and don't have any publications. Other experience: I head a campus club focused on global health and economic development, have been tutoring inner-city children for 7 years, volunteer as a mental health crisis responder, and contributed to writing a competency-based Physiology course. References: PI of the two education labs, who both know me well. As you can see, most of my experiences involve children and education! I think my LOI was probably the strong point. I was actually in "Under Review/Decision: Pending" for a long time, and I submitted my application the day it was due.
  4. At 10:28 pm MST, I received my acceptance to U of A's MPH Epidemiology. This is after I got rejected by both UBC (last week) and U of T (this morning), so don't lose hope guys! In case anyone is curious, the expiry date is April 6th.
  5. All of UBC's graduate programs have admissions statistics that you can read here: https://www.grad.ubc.ca/prospective-students/graduate-degree-programs/master-of-science-occupational-environmental-hygiene. It would appear that the class size is between 8-12 each year, out of 30-50 applicants.
  6. Congratulations! I'm truly so happy for all three of you. UBC is an especially tough school to wait for, given how the 2019 and 2020 forums seem to show that UBC only accepts and waitlists in the second week of March, followed by mostly (if only) rejections.
  7. Mine has been under review and listed as decision: pending for a long time. However, based on the MPH 2019 and 2020 forums, the Epidemiology stream comes out rather late (There was one person who posted an acceptance on March 18-and some in April?-You'll have to double check).
  8. I emailed about "applicants to the MPH program (September 2021 intake)".
  9. I emailed about "applicants to the MPH program (September 2021 intake)".
  10. Emailed them: "At the moment, we are still processing the applications. We hope to have the result some time in late April or early May."
