Hi Chelsea, based on last year's info, CMU sent out interviews on 2/8, and MICA on 1/28.
I am not sure about Cranbrook but I wouldn't start to worry about it even two weeks after the deadline passes. Hope it helps!
Hi there, I think Cranbrook would be a great choice based on your preference. Application closes on Feb 1st by the way. And you need to write a statement for funding.
Hey thanks!! I've already reached out to two more professors and I'm waiting on either one of them to upload. I know Yale would exempt applicants who didn't complete all materials from reviewing (says on their website), I wish RISD wouldn't do the same.
- NEGATIVE AURA WARNING -
Just had a mental breakdown because one of my letters of recommendation has still not been submitted by my recommender. It's three days past the deadline for RISD. I have done everything I possibly can to resolve this, and now all I can do is wait. It's literally driving me crazy. I don't know how much LORs weigh in the admission process, nor if there's a grace period for late LORs. I would be devastated if my application is negatively impacted by this. Maybe it's just bad luck.
Literally a freakout post -
Is anyone waiting for LORs ???
I have two application deadlines marked today - RISD and CalArts - not sure if it's the same for LORs, and two of my profs haven't submitted... I've already sent reminders respectively.
Definitely appreciate any info about if late LORs will have impacts on your application. Thanks guys.
A possible reason I could think of is that people thinks the same as I did that less people are applying so there's more chances of getting accepted this year. So if majority of people think this way then it's reasonable that more people are applying expecting to be accepted more easily? I don't know if I made myself clear but that's just a thought.
Thanks for saying that.. I got that information on most of my rejection letters but I don't understand why there's more people applying this year. Do you know the reasons? I thought with COVID and everything there's supposed to be less people applying this year
I don't know if anyone will see this comment but I applied for 10 schools and I haven't gotten any interview invitations from any of them and I now have received 6 rejection letters. I haven't heard from Tyler, Columbia, MICA and Pratt ( not even interviews ). I think that means no grad schools for me?
