Wait so while the deadline to accept is May 2nd, awardees can just not accept the scholarship yet and still have it?? I assumed if they don't accept by May 2nd, that would mean they decline the award.

Ohhh I see. I can understand how that can be very stressful to think about, especially since nothing is set in stone. Really hoping that the COVID situation will only get better from here and that in the summer, things will be significantly better. Is your program a bit flexible? And how is everyone feeling about it, especially since results are about a month away... For context, I applied to Japan, a CS major, and am currently a college freshman LOL.
