  1. Hi SimeonB, all my letter says is "accredited academic institution" so I believe you just have to find an institution that offers credit that can transfer. I'm a domestic student but if I take this offer, I would likely be finding a course at a local technical college to save $$$ and double-check with SIPA that the credit will transfer (I'm 99% sure it'll be fine). All of the courses I found were online. I'm not entirely sure how it works for int'l students, but if you can find an institution near you with good transfer courses *or* if you can take an online course from, say, a NY-based technical college before the term starts, that might work/be a bit cheaper? It's tough though, I'm not yet sure I could make it work myself.
  2. Admitted with a conditional offer! I honestly expected a rejection, but if I got admitted I kind of expected this because my quant experience is a little all over the place (took applied econ, natural sciences courses, statistics, some research methods in poli sci) so I just need to prove I can pass a basic calc or econ course before the term starts. Not a deal-breaker, just a consideration as I look at all my options! Also no funding attached, which is tough. I do have some external funding but I'll definitely be waiting on that aid offer. Best of luck to everyone on your next steps!
  3. Think we're all feeling close to losing it ? this is the last school I'm hearing from and also probably my top or second choice, so the anxiety is high! Best of luck keeping it together today, everyone.
  4. Rejected but not surprised! I agree with some of the others in this thread, the early deadline helped me prepare for my other applications but I definitely didn't submit as high-quality of an application in hindsight as I should have. This year definitely seems pretty competitive and you never know exactly how they're making decisions. I have a couple of other good offers and I feel happy with that.
  5. Offered admission! Still haven't heard from the SEAS program though, and still waiting on a few other schools...this process is especially weird this year (I'm sure on both ends) and feels extra competitive. Best of luck to all of you on your next steps from here!
  6. Hey everyone, Ford posted this image on their Instagram story. Looks like we may find out decisions Thursday!
  7. I was wondering about this too, but based on what I'm hearing from a lot of other campuses, it seems like a lot of schools are tentatively planning on bringing students back to campus in the fall (let's see how the vaccine rollout goes). Personally, I'm planning to go if I get accepted/get enough aid even if the first semester is still phasing back into full-time in-person learning because I'm feeling semi-optimistic about getting enough of that experience by the end of the program to build a decent network, and partly because my partner will be re-locating with me for work. That said, some of the schools I applied to would be harder for my partner to find work nearby and if those programs would be partially remote anyway, I'd probably consider deferring or not going either. So I definitely understand your reasoning.
  8. Anyone know if dual degree programs with Ford are waiting on Ford decisions to roll theirs out? I applied Ford-SEAS to potentially do a dual degree and SEAS has apparently sent out a lot of their decisions already, but my portal/email hasn't updated at all. Just wondering if anyone knows more about this. This decision can't come soon enough!
