I’m guessing that admitted folks (and probably rejected folks) are no longer spending much time perusing these forums. Fingers crossed that we hear something soon.

Seems unlikely...

Would love to think that this is true, but I’m a little more pessimistic about it. I just don’t see why huge blocks of people would decline or defer. This year is not the same as last year in terms of the pandemic or the economy....

Agreed, and especially considering that Harvard (undergrad) is presumably responsible for housing their students. That being said, I don’t think any of us know for sure whether HKS is admitting a full class over the next few years or not. I wonder if that’s something a person in Admissions would answer?
-
Any insight as to whether they are admitting a full class this year and next year, or are number of spots reduced due to deferrals? I read somewhere that Harvard undergrad is admitting full class size despite deferrals and will somehow deal with a few years of increased class sizes.

Not sure I see why a booming economy means people will defer on accepting a place in a Masters program. Maybe I’m missing something? -
Some of the essay prompts change from year to year, so you may not have a choice, but possible that some could be re-used. They also recommend changing at least one of your rec. letters, but you can re-use some if you want.

Waitlisted too. Not sure what factor the pandemic plays. I understand there was tons of movement last year, but decisions were also released at virtually the exact same time that the pandemic ramped up and everything was shutting down and it felt like the world was ending. This year they were released just as a sense of renewal and re-opening is finally starting in many parts of the world. Of course I selfishly hope enough people will pass that we can all make it, but I’m not sure I see why the pandemic would result in tons of people passing like they did last year...

Got the magazine and got waitlisted.

No, mostly government. A little experience with volunteer work through board service and fundraising with non-profits, which I noted in my application, but none as an employee.

Waitlisted for MC/MPA. Can’t remember exact GPA but it’s nothing mind-blowing, I think around 3.2 and from a totally average school. I did submit GRE’s: 157V, 158Q, 4.5 AWA. About 13 years or work experience.

No, MC/MPA but not Mason.

Rejected last year for MC/MPA, reapplied and waitlisted this year. Biggest difference was improved GRE scores - 297 combined score last year, 315 this year.
