This is my first post. I am an Italian undergraduate physics student. I have just been admitted to Oxford MMAthPhys (Master Mathematical and Theoretical Physics) and ETH Zurich for a MSc in Physics. I am struggling to weight the two options: my main concern is about the PhD. I fear that a 1-year master could be a problem in finding a PhD afterwards: applications for the UK and US have a deadline fixed at 6 Dec and I don't know whether applying so early could be a problem for me. I would be very disappointed in the case I fail in finding a PhD position.Do you think a 1-year master at Oxford could represent a problem, or am I overthinking it? As an Italian guy is like a dream that comes true being admitted to Oxford and I am very excited, but I really want to choose the best option for my career. Thank youThis is my first post.
