  1. @Char-o-latte@LiveLovePsych @Psychlover913 Thank you for responding ? And yeah it seems like you all applied slightly early but not by much.... hope I'll find out soon. Hopefully before June ?
  2. @Char-o-latte@LiveLovePsych @Psychlover913 Do any of you mind sharing when you applied for the program and the date you got your response? I'm wondering if this could be some sort of indication as to how much longer it'll take to get a response lol ?
  3. Does anyone think responses will take longer than next week (i.e. the end of the month)? lol Something unusual is definitely going on this year - maybe they are actually giving priority to international students. It's been pretty much dead silent for the past month and I don't see that in past years. Maybe that's why we haven't seen a lot of people's responses on grad cafe? I'm assuming international students don't know about grad cafe like domestic students lol
  4. Hey, congrats on your acceptance! If you feel okay to do so, do you mind sharing your gpa/ work experience. It's helpful to get examples of what they look for with acceptance
  5. I understand, and it's funny because although I haven't gotten a response yet, I did the EXACT thing you did haha. You never know, it might have been as simple as human error (maybe the "wrong" person read yours or was tired lol). And yes, exactly there's always other options! That's what I'm trying to tell myself lol.
  6. Hey! It seems like the only thing it could be is your application? I've seen people with great grades get rejected and people with mediocre grades get accepted. From my understanding they put a lot of weight on the application/ letter of intent itself. Of course I'm sure you know that these have to be catered to fit what the school is about/ what they're looking for. So using the right wording, language, framing, etc. becomes important. They have so many applicants they can choose from so I'm sure a lot of times it can come down to small details. Unfortunately, OISE has the luxury to be picky lol I'm sorry to hear about your bad news but you seem to have a great foundation and will achieve the goals you strive to!
  7. Hi all! I am accepting my DPE MEd offer in the meantime while I wait to hear back from Counseling Psyche. I filled out the confirmation form attached to my offer letter and sent it to confirmation.oise@utoronto.ca. Is there anything else I need to do? I'm pretty sure I'm okay but just thought I'd double check with you all to be safe lol
  8. I emailed them after I saw your suggestion lol The deadline is like early next week.
  9. Does anyone know the acceptance rate/ # of applicants for counseling psyche? I'm curious how much harder it is to get into Counseling Psyche vs. Developmental Psyche MEd.
  10. Do you know approx. out of how many applicants that is? A career counselor gave me a guess one time, but I'll have to see if I can look up her answer.
  11. I was accepted to my second choice at OISE but I'm still waiting on the counseling response (my first choice). The three week deadline to accept the other offer is approaching. Does anyone know if I can extend the deadline given that the counseling program I'm waiting to hear back from is at OISE?
  12. Just curious to hear feedback from others willing to give insight: Do you think the developmental psychology MEd could be applicable to life coaching? Why or why not? Or are there any programs any of you would suggest I take a look at? ... just exploring my options here ?
  13. I think it's so odd that one person got an acceptance super early... like mid-February, and now NOTHING ?
  14. Can anyone tell me the average acceptance grades for Master's of Education in Counseling Psychology versus Developmental Psychology? The counseling psychology program seems more competitive no? I know there's a lot more involved with acceptance besides grades, but I'd be curious to know this factor. Thanks
  15. Anybody heard back for Counseling Psychology recently? This is torture lmao
  16. Thank you! It was listed in the Academics section on the front page, under Degree Registration Status.
  17. Hey guys I have good news... someone from OISE basically said that if you haven't received an acceptance or been waitlisted it's not necessarily bad news. They said some applications take longer to review. Also, because letters and things like that take a while to produce they send them out in chunks. So I hope that's good news for everyone lol
  18. I applied for the Counseling Psychology and Developmental Psychology MEd programs. Today I checked Acorn and I had an invited status for Developmental Psychology. So far I haven't gotten any sort of letter and there's nothing on Acorn about Counseling Psychology. I'm wondering if this means anything or if it doesn't and I'm just going to have to keep waiting it out for Counseling psyche? lol Feels nice to have at least one answer tho!
