On the Dalhousie note - does anyone know when we need to submit our deposit by? Dalhousie is the only school I have heard back from so far but it's not my first choice..

I was accepted into the program last year (wasn't able to attend in the end) and you can rest assured I did not write 2 pages for each exam question! I think the quality of your answers matter more than length

I am not sure about specific dates for UofT’s regular stream (I have in my notes anytime mid-Feb to mid-April) but I was told in my UofT-ITR interview that successful applicants of that program would hear back by end of February.

Thank you for this, I just took a look again on Dalhousie's MSW Selection Process webpage and I can see there is a line stating "Acceptances are conditional on the approval of the Dean followed by official notification from the University Registrar." Grad school is strange. Good luck to you today! I'm rooting for your letter!

Ok so weird turn of events. I just got a letter from Dal (may have arrived yesterday I am not sure) and its not an acceptance.. not a refusal.. not a waitlist.. a conditional acceptance? Has anyone received something like this? The Master of Social Work Admissions Committee is pleased to notify you that it has recommended acceptance of your application to the Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies [...] Although the School has recommended your admission to the Dean, the final decision on your admission including any conditions related to it will be made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. If our recommendation for your admission is approved, the University Registrar will email you an official letter of acceptance in the coming weeks. I mean, I am not complaining, but maybe they could have waited until a decision had been made before sending a letter?

Oh my friends! I'm so sorry everyone is feeling the stress, I had a nice de-stress cry today in the shower, would recommend. I haven't heard anything yet either (Toronto, Ontario) and my last name starts with C. Reminding myself though, sometimes mail is unpredictable!

Hi everyone! I am doing a pretty grand sweet of applications this year, applying to Laurier, UofT, UofT (ITR), Carleton, UofM (IK), Dalhousie, and Lakehead (HBSW) - all for the 2-year streams. I come from a background in arts and cultural administration and programming, so I may be a bit of an outlier in that way.
