  1. I don't know which type of scholarship you got, but this is the case of mine (Doctorate Grant). You are right that you need to upload the Declaration of Acceptance that being sent to you along with other document e.g. Letter of Award and My DAAD Scholarship Booklet. Apart from uploading the declaration, which doesn't need to be signed, you need to upload a signed form of 'Consent of Medical data Processing' that can be downloaded from the Options 'Consent of Medical data Processing' on the left side of your portal. Moreover, you also need to send the Admission Letter (Zulassungbescheid) from the Uni soon after you got officially admitted on the Options 'Submit Document regarding funding'. If you have some more question and clarification, you can look upon the DAAD scholarship Booklet and you cal also message them directly inside the Portal, via Messages. Hope it helps. Cheers.
  2. Hello, have you read the 'My DAAD Scholarship/Ihr DAAD Stipendium' document? There, along with the explanation on the Award Letter stated that your Award Letter indeed will become active only if you got admitted to the first Uni (in your case I assume TU Berlin) and submit the Zulassungbescheid (enrollment letter) to the Portal. However, since you have 2nd and 3rd options, if you got admitted to the 2nd or 3rd options instead of the 1st, you need to notify them, so they will shange the Uni on the award letter into the one that admits you. Hope it helps you. Cheers.
  3. I think the only 'real' sign that you are awarded is by receiving a message in your Portal along with an Award Letter attached. However, 'Funding' status is a super strong sign Now you need to wait for a while, or if you are curious, you can ask the DAAD officer using 'Messages' function in your portal.
  4. In addition to Declaration of Acceptance, you need to also send the 'Consent of Processing Medical Data' document, in order to be signed with Die Continentale, the insurance provided by DAAD. Since you don't want to be insured with this, I suppose you need to ask them (using Messages) whether you are allowed to be exempt from the insurance or not. As far as I know, if you are above 30 and/or doing you PhD, your only option is with private insurance, like one provided by DAAD. But, I think the DAAD officer knows best
  5. Congrats!! I am a fellow South East Asian. It depends on the country, However, in my case, after the Award Letter reaches you, you should sent the Acceptance Letter, Consent of Processing Medical data and start to process your Promotionsanmeldungen from the faculty.
  6. Have you contacted the Insurance section? There is a different Message button for Insurance and other things, you should check on 'Insurance' tab. I'll start my course on early August. In my country, there are no available interview appointment in sight (for the next 2 months at least), so it's good to hear that you'll have the interview next week.
  7. I have. After submittting the consent for medical data and wait for 3-4 working days, I got the Certificate last Tuesday.
  8. In my case, Reference Number is stated on your Award Letter, which will be sent to you via your Portal.
  9. Your Award Letter should not be too far behind, at least that was my case. I got an enrollment notice from another German Lesson before I got the Award Letter. The Award Letter was sent the next day after the German Lesson Enrollment Letter. I am from SEA region.
  10. Indonesia and Vietnam has announced the result two days ago, but in Vietnam no Award Letter has been sent, yet. In Indonesia, the Award Letter has been sent yesterday. Probably and hopefully, other countries will follow suit this week. Good luck for you!
  11. Indonesia, so I guess, final decision for other country in Asia Pacific region should not be far behind.
  12. Same here, my status has just changed to Funding with no e-mail. Hopefully, the e-mail especially the Award Letter will come as soon as possible. Congratulations for you!
  13. In my case, i had interview on February and even now, the 'official' result is not out yet. However, it is also depends on your location and type of scholarship. Quoting other members here, 'no news is a good news' because every update on your application (funding/rejection) will be pushed to your e-mail so that you will be updated. Best luck!
  14. Then it is almost certain that you will get the scholarship
  15. It will be a 2-months online intensive course, from August to September.
  16. As far as I know, from my peers that got rejected, she got her rejection letter from Portal some hours before my status gone blank. So I think, the rejection letter went online beforehand, after that, they start to distribute the Award Letter.
  17. Same goes for me, it gone blank a couple hours ago. However, i noticed that on the left side, there are new choice called 'Options'. Strangely, before it gone blank, I got a confirmation e-mail from a Language Course that said I have been enrolled to the course. I went straight to confirm this to the DAAD officer in my country (Indonesia) and she said that I got the scholarship. I haven't got the Award Letter yet so I don't want to jump from my bed until then. So, gone blank is indeed a good sign, fingers crosses for you!!!
  18. I haven't, unfortunately. As many DAAD officers in Bonn and locally has resume their work after Easter, I hope that we can get definitive answer soon, fingers crossed! Your Uni has time-window of registration for PhD? Is it a structured PhD program or a 'personal' one? Because in my case, if I got funded, I'll be able to register to the faculty and then Immatrikulationsamt (the Enrollment Office) at any time of the year. Nonetheless, I hope for all of us in Asia-Pacific region that the result will come soon for us and it is a good news for all of us.
  19. Hello, Indonesian PhD applicant here. My funding date has also been changed, similar to yours, from 31.09.2024 to 31.09.2022, where, according to the old threads here and my colleague who got DAAD PhD scholarship back in 2013, a good sign (they give the contract yearly, thus the funding duration is usually a year and prolonged subsequently). Nonetheless, let's keep our fingers crossed. :) Aaand, with respect to last year's situation, it was worse (according to another colleague of mine who got the scholarship). She got a call confirming her funding in late May and she finally got her Letter of Award in July from the Portal. So, I guess, with result from another region were already announced (East Africa, Turkey, Mexico and Balkan), we can hope that our result, at least for PhD applicants in Asia-Pacific, will not be too far behind :) Ah yeah, as an additional info, my Portal has stayed as 'Selection Made' for the whole March after I went to the interview on mid-February, where the DAAD officer there said that the result should be out on the end of March or early April. I guess Osternferien from 29 March to 5 April complicate things a bit. However, let's keep the energy high and I wish everybody here good luck!
