I applied on Feb 15, got my confirmation on Feb 18, and a couple minutes ago got my decision - waitlisted. Luckily I've already committed to uchicago, but after 11 weeks of waiting, I can't help feeling a little let down. Hope you have better luck!

Still nothing I emailed them last week because I had a hard deadline on May 1st for uchicago (I had already gotten an extension for the original deadline of april 15) and they told me they couldn't guarantee a decision by then, so I ended up putting down a deposit at uchicago. I could still eat the deposit and go to Columbia if I got in, but honestly the way they've bungled this whole admissions process really turns me off & doesn't bode well for how they treat their students so I probably won't.

Ok I need some help. I have two deposit deadlines coming up this Friday & Saturday and I still haven't heard back from Columbia (one of my top choices). I already received extensions from both schools (originally deposits were due on April 15th & 19th respectively), but I still really don't want to make a decision without hearing from Columbia. However, I also don't feel super comfortable asking the schools for another extension. Is anyone else in a similar position / have any advice?
