that's right. I wonder if they'll send us an agenda. In the past though, people who went to the OH liked it and got a good vibe.

800q/660v/4aw (I know, the 4 was a bit surprising...) ; 2 years of work in econ analysis by time this summer, lots of volunteer throughout college & post colleg; my work exp isn't as impressive, but I did a lot of research with different professors and did very well as an undergrad

Same for me. Duke was kind of a reach school for me, so I am very surprised to be accepted with almost full tuition fellowship as well Congrats to all who got in! Is anyone going to the open house? it's too soon and too far for me (I live on the other side of the country)

DUKE DECISIONS ARE OUT EVERYONE!!!

I just heard back too, I was supposed to get notification last week though, so looks like in accordance with what everyone else said, decisions are delayed by 1 week. G luck all!

Anyone waiting for Stanford IPS? I checked its website and it says that decisions should be mailed out early March... next week perhaps? Also, any idea when Duke MPP is? Is it my mail or email?
-
sorry, via snail mail. I just went up and edited my post so no email. yes snail mail
-
I know how you feel--i've been checking my email literally every 5 minutes. I live in the Bay Area and received my acceptance via snail mail last night. I didn't get an email notification. Mail from Berkeley to my house can take as little as 1 day to arrive, so if you are on the other side of the country you might be getting yours soon. I took a look at the dates on which people reported their admission/rejection last year and it does seem like they send out the decisions in batches (ie, they don't send out all the admissions first then all the rejections and vise versa)

ME TOO!!! Department Fellowship 5K <3 So happy, going to eat chocolate and ice cream to celebrate now

CONGRATS!!! EMAIL OR SNAIL MAIL??

Acceptance with full tuition scholarship

Hi Nimesis, you said that you got an email notification--was it an email notification your acceptance? I just visited my application page and it says: You will receive notification of your admission decision soon via postal mail. Please note that the Office of Admissions provides final decision notifications by letter only. We do not disclose admission decisions via e-mail, telephone, or any other means. I'm in the Bay Area as well, so I'm hoping to wake up to a big envelop soon...
-
I think they do the scholarships in batches too. Mine had that sentence, but "week of February 28th" instead of 14th. So those of you who are still waiting--don't despair!

I just got an email for acceptance. =) I submitted my app on 1/15, but I had an incomplete status until last Wednesay because my GRE score was lost somewhere in the system. I called and the issue was handled right there on the phone. The person I spoke with told me that the admissions committee was going to meet that Friday; they're supposed to meet throughout the month as well so decisions will be sent out after each meeting session I suppose. Good luck to all of you!

Duke Sanford Application Problem!!!
foodlover28 replied to foodlover28's topic in Government Affairs Forum
The office was closed yesterday for the holiday break, but I called this morning. If anyone else is having this problem-- the easiest way is to put English as a native language if you are bilingual. If not, then you can simply put down today's date for the test dates and 1 for all the other blanks. -
Duke Sanford Application Problem!!!
foodlover28 replied to foodlover28's topic in Government Affairs Forum
I went into the application and it turns out it was TOEFL and IELTS for me as well, not GMAT. I'm not a native speaker as well, but I'm a US citizen now and I've been in the US for quite a long time. I'm not applying for the joint program and I have taken my GRE. How did you end up dealing with the TOEFL/IELTS issue? Thank you! -
I'm applying for the MPP program and I'm all done, ready to submit. But the application check keeps telling me that I need to submit information for TOEFL and GMAT, which is not required for the program and tests that I did not take. Because of this, I can't submit my application because it never takes me to the submit page. Is anyone else having this problem??? I've tried contacting the office but they'll be closed until the 4th, and I'm afraid that I won't get in touch with them on time. Help me please!!!

For those in the same situation--how do you go about writing it? I don't even how to start, let alone the content.
