  1. GSPP's domestic focus is also my biggest concern. I went to UCB for undergrad so I'm very in favor of the school. I posted a question in the GSPP New Admits 2011 thread about IAS (International and Area Studies). There's the option of getting MPP/IAS concurrent degree and I was wondering if anyone knows anything more about it? I studied in the IAS department and I know that they are a very strong faculty and lots of resources there, so it might be a way to resolve the lack of int'l focus in the main MPP curriculum. Also, I saw that you listed Duke as both accepted and rejected in your signature, but I 'm guessing you got in given the scholarship figures. May I ask why you've chosen to not consider Duke?.
  2. i am. 800Q 660V 4AW, 2 years of econ consulting analyst, 3 years of research in undergrad, lots of volunteer work in public sector/school district strong economic and ID background
  3. Hi David (or anyone else with any knowledge on this matter...), do you know anything about the Goldman MPP/IAS program? Berkeley does have a good IAS department,as far as I know, and since many of us seem to be concerned about the overemphasis on domestic policies, the IAS program may be a good way to integrate the international component into the curriculum.
  4. feeling the same. I wasn't expecting to get in, but I'm frustrated that I wasn't even considered fairly for the program.
  5. What a confusing set of links to navigate ~_~ I got 20k for the year, 10k per semester. Unfortunately i don't think this will be enough to sway me over from gspp/duke.
  6. heart leaped when I saw this post. I went online and there was a link to my decision letter! Got in, no funding. says I can apply for second year funding.

  9. OMG YOU"RE RIGHT IT"S ONLINE! I didn't get into IDEV, my first choice, but it says I can choose among any of the other concentrations. Did anyone get funding? There was nothing in the letter about it, besides fafsa need-based scholarships.
  10. picked up! "decisions will be sent between march 15-18 via email" Knowing them, it'll probably be closer to 18 I bet good luck all!
  11. Hhahaa SarahL I'm doing exactly the same thing... email, forum, results...and when I leave my office I'm doing the same routine on my phone, even as I walk around in grocery stores...
  12. Ahh I see. Thanks for the helpful tips. I wasn't expecting tickets to be in the 300 range, but I'll search for Tuesday flights Hope to see you there!

  14. Anyone flying over for Open House from the West Coast? Does anyone have recommendations for airfare source? I'm finding that tickets are very expensive...
  15. WHEN IS STANFORD RELEASING DECISIONS??? it's almost mid-march.... thinking about calling monday
  16. Given that they only covered `10% more since Monday, they probably won't finish with the rest until mid next week.
  17. I did as well, around dinner time on the west coast. I thought it was nice of them
  18. I did as well, around dinner time on the west coast. I thought it was nice of them
  19. I had a dream that as I was brushing my teeth in the morning I received an acceptance email from SAIS (with scholarship!) . As I was reading the email on my phone (in my dream), I woke up, grabbed my phone and checked .... only to find out that it was just a dream ~_~ (but it was so real...)
  20. I think you're right. ...but it also means that there will be a long (relatively) wait, esp if you're in pile #3. "did not entirely agree" and "additional review" sound like complicated procedures... >.<
