Hi All Fortunately, I have been accepted by several Ph.D. programs in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology. However, I have been struggling for which program I should choose. I hope some of you could give me an insight or suggestions. Accept: Rutgers Epi, UF Pharmacoepi, UIC Pharmacoepi, Pittsburgh Pharmacoepi Pending: UMN Pharmacoepi With my pharmacy background, I would like to focus on pharmacoepi during my Ph.D. program. Since the programs at UF and Rutgers both have professionals in this specific area, I have difficulty making decisions between them. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please feel free to contact me.

@Global Ambassador Is it UNC-Chapel Hill Epi program? I am just curious about how you deal with the funding issue. Are you an international student? Funding is always a problem for Ph.D. students, especially during the pandemic of COVID.

I'm sorry I have no idea how there admission process goes. But they told me that their epi program would be in a rapid development in the following years (e.g., a center called PETS and also the Master's degree). They have also recruited professor working on cancer epidemiology recently. In addition, they would accept more full time Ph.D. students than before (they mostly accepted part-time Ph.D. students in the past few years).

Yes, I have gone through 2 interviews in the past few weeks. First time for professor who are interested in working with me and the second one probably from the admission committee? I am not sure about this.

Congratulations @daniel_sun! When did you submit your application? Also, would you mind listing some of your stats (e.g., GPA, GRE/TOEFL, Education, work/research exp, publications)?

I think the schools that we applied are similar. I have applied to Harvard, Hopkins, UF, and Upenn. I know all of them are dream schools for me, but anyway just give it a try.
